The 135x16 is 1/3 the height of the eye longer from top of eye to top of shank and the point from the bottom of the eye to the tip is ever so slightly longer. I set up my two Adler's with 135x17 needles because they come in more sizes, titanium coated I can get in size #180 vs. #160 for 134-35. To use 135x17 needles, I have to adjust the needle bar ever so slightly. This way, I only need to carry one system of needle for most all my machines, i.e. Juki. singer, Adler.

I think the 335-G hook will work in your machine. Not positive. We found the Cerliani hook to be the best price for generic hooks. Hirose also makes great aftermarket hooks. That is the route I would take. Where are you located. If in the states, I would contact Yamata in California and see if they can help with a part number and if the hooks are compatible with Pfaff.

You could get the motor rewound or as Bob stated, get a new motor. I have some needles for that machine if you need some. glenn

That is a tail that the bobbin thread is supposed to go thru

same as Consew 206rb made in Japan by Seiko I believe. Consew manuals and parts should work for it. glenn

This is a special screw. Hardware store will not have it and the needle bar is hardened so do not try to re-tap it. I an just headed off to holiday so I cannot get you a part number until early you next week. I suggest you check on line to see where you can order Adler parts in your neck of the woods. Is the machine grey colored or white? DAP which is Durkopp, Adler ,Pfaff has a large parts dept. near Atlanta Georgia. They will ship from there. glenn

It should be the same as a front plate used on a Singer111W155. Consew copied that machine when they designed the 226. glenn

Contact Weaver Leather and as to speak to Allen Burkholder. He has worked on these machines for over 25 years and is probably the best mechanic on them in America. He can walk you thru the timing. glenn

Backlash springs work no matter how fast you are sewing. I use one in my Juki 1508 and it does make a difference despite some earlier comments. We used them in all our 767 and 867 Adler's. They do help. Cheap to try. glenn

Some companies paints are available from dealers. I might give Consew a buzz in NY to see if they carry anything. The silver grey hammertones were built by Seiko for Consew. Try Hoffman Brothers in Chicago. Primary Seiko dealer and distributor in the US. glenn

Plates are not that expensive and I think they are still available. I would order that and the 2 screws to attached. Plus, if you decide to sell the machine down the road, it has the original plate on it, not some thing you made to just get by. glenn

I just sent you an email. Disregard it. I have only seen on Claes with a foot lift and that took some time to set it up but it was nice.

John I set them up on an off the arm stand with a servo motor and speed reducer. I can text you some pics if you would like to see it. What are you planning on sewing with the machine? You are missing the spool pin and thread holder that is below the bobbin winder. Can you send me a pic or two of the back of the machine. It looks like you have the zigzag attachment on it. sorry for the late reply. Computer been down for two weeks and no WIFI too boot. glenn

Just so you know, the tip of the needle, feed dog and inner presser foot should reach the top of the throat plate all at the same time. In your machine, the tip of the needle is way late. That adjustment needs to be made. The feed dog looks like it is coming up a little to high. Feed dog should never rise more than the bottom of the teeth are above the top of the throat plate. glenn

There has to be a timing issue of some type here. Thread should not be that tight. Post a few pics of the machine and a video if you can of the machine sewing. glenn

sounds like the old hook and bobbin that used to be in the Pfaff335 before they came out with the 335-G which has the larger bobbin. Hockey mender and I have switched out the old hook for the larger G bobbin size hook with no problem. Send us some pics of the hook and bobbin in the Yamata.

Go for it. Just be careful not to disassemble it to much. If it is a 111W153, there should be three shafts counting the needle bar. I only see one. There is a army manual out there on this machine you should get a copy of before you disassemble the head. Much more info than any Singer manual. Written for the military during WWII. glenn

Call the company you ordered it from and get a replacement part. That is due to the shipping of the item and it got bent. If they will not back the part, you probably can bend it back in a vice but first must remove from machine and tap it lightly with a rubber or plastic hammer being very careful not to break the support as you bend it back. glenn

You can use lubricated polyester in the Landis 3 DESPITE what other sewers say. They use both linen and polyester thread in curved needles so sew on soles of shoes. You will have to try both to see what woks best for you.
