    I made some buckskin clothing many years ago which got wet a lot. They do get stiff and you can stretch it. If you tack it down around the edges, when they dry well I think you cold work them back to close to the original softness. I might try to cut off a small piece and try it first to see if you like the results. Good luck with your project, and let us know how you make out!

    That sounds good to me. The part that would be the blade is slotted so the width of cut would be adjustable too. Good call!

    You continue to amaze! your subjects are easily recognized, that's hard to do in relief. I've tried it in wood carving a few times with out success.

    I like the magnet hidden under the leather. Might just steel that one! I didn't think I'd like the angle but it works O.K.!

    That looks really nice,I like the adjustability aspect. When I was a boy we spent many summers hiking and fishing in the Algonquin park,some of my favorite memories!

    As Dwight said very thin coat oof cement and let it DRY,15 or 20 min. is not too long .Longer if you use a heavy coat. Good luck!

    SANDPAPER IS NOT THE SAME AS SANDSTONE!!!!!!!!! You have not shown one time that you have followed the advice of even one member that has graciously taken the time to try to help. You continue to ignore and insult these kind people in your ignorance instead of trying their technique the way it is given.No one on this site will give advice in order to make you spend more money.
