  1. Next Level stuff!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Inspiring stuff. Really like the contrast of the two different leathers. Great work
  3. Awesome work,really nice lines,colour and design.
  4. Nice pattern work on the holster, what dye colour will you use on the leather?
  5. Really nice belt and arm guard. Great stamping and carving the colour is really rich as well.I have a few different basket weave stamps and have been wondering how to set a different angle on a belt. I have only done 2 belts so far with a basket weave and on both the pattern is running parallel to the belt. Thanks for sharing
  6. Nice work there, really like the basket weave stamp one.
  7. Thanks for the extra pics, really detailed. Really like the edging work,is that just a regular soldering iron or have you modified the tip. Have you ever made holsters out of croc skin??
  8. A really clean well made holster there. Inspiring stuff, thanks for sharing. Self made holsters for my Ruger Bisley Vaqueros are on the to do list
  9. Yes they are basically like a cartridge belt, some are double sided with 10 round capacity. Haven't seen anyone hanging them around their necks, mostly they hang off the gun belt. I am not concerned about the shape of it,just forming and hand sewing the bullet loops. Cheers
  10. Fantastic work, stitching looks really nice with that holster stamping and colour. this is what I aim to be able to do in the future.
  11. Gday All Has anyone here made their own leather loading strips for Cowboy single action shooting? I tried searching but maybe I was looking in the wrong area?? I am interested in making some up for myself and guys at my club,in .357 and .45LC and was wondering if anyone has patterns, advise, pictures etc.
  12. Thanks Rokoboy. Definitely keen for info on anything local. Yes I will burnish them but still learning the best way to do it,lots to read here.. Retswerb thanks I will do,a bit more work on them yet ie. Glue backs on then stitching etc. That trip weave basket stamp is very hard to line up, a few errors for sure. Cheers
  13. Gday (Hi) All First post here as it seems to be the place for people with leatherworking addictions. New to the leather working scene but the bug has bitten hard. I have been into all grain brewing for 10 years(love IPA and pale ale),low and slow bbq for 5 years (lmainly ribs, pulled pork and brisket) and cowboy action shooting for just over a year. Handmade anything appeals to me,admire skills required to make stuff. Live in Western Australia, big place with a small population in the southern hemisphere.don't know anyone who works with leather,so very keen to learn from members here. Anyway here is a pic of my first projects,3 dog collars (unfinished) for my friends dogs
