Sperrier

I made this for a work friend to thank him for a favor. He said that all the minimal wallets were ugly. I rose to the challenge on my second attempt with a modified pattern by Tony, first was too minimal as I didn't allow room to sew. He was impressed. I cannot wait to see the patina on it after some good use.

I used a 5oz oil tan leather from SLC. I used 1.5MM craft wire in the brim. I made this for an actual sailing pirate that would experience high winds and the wire was not made for that, so I fixed the sides in-place like in the Pirate movies. I would use 2MM or 3MM to handle wind.

Here is my very first hat. my first commissioned piece for a self declared pirate captain no less. It was a lot of fun to make. I fould the perfect oil tanned leather at SLC and the pattern is from dieselpunk.ro. It gave it just the right look. I have already been asked to make another, and so it begins.

the tooling is amazing. if you still have learning to do, my hobbiest eyes cannot see it. You should be very proud.

Here is my first attempt at a long wallet and Pyrography. It is 5oz outside/2oz inside veg tan with Fiebing's pro dye mohogany finished with Leather Balm with atom wax. I got new stuff for christmas and it seems like the perfect project/gift. I had a few issues all minor but any input for my next one will be appreciated. First, I used Fiebing's leather balm. It turned grey and congilled on the leather and i had to really power buff it to work it out 98%, see picture2 ,ideas? The other 2 were my first stich line to close to edge and trying to add a second stich line to an already assembled wallets. I love doing this stuff and amazed at what i have learned in under a dozen projects.

That is a wonderful gift. I love the detailed tooling, well really all of it. It makes me want to do more.

I like the black and turquoise combo, it pops nicely. Insterad of using 2 pieces of leather, i would done it all as one piece you fold in half so there is not a leather end near the rivet. Also, How do you get keys on it?

I love the liner as well. I also really love the muted colors on the flowers, it really works well. Nicely done.

love the look. classic black bag with the white stiches looks great and then the sugar skull flap sets the bag off. Nicely done.

My son is going to his first game of AD&D with friends. I wanted him ot have a nice dice bag. I am very proud of how it turned out. I used a Tandy Stiirup bag pattern with 4-6oz leather dyed in fiebings light brown and green suede from a remnant bag at springfield leather. This was my first time using a basket weave stamp. The bag was larger than I had planned as it stands about 7 inches and will hold alot of dice, like 50+ easy. I really enjoyed how it turned out and will be making another here in the future.

I love the dragon and the celtic scales. looks good and very functional. My son is into LARP and i need to modify his chainmail now that he has grown a bit in both directions. I loosely might borrow that scale pattern, if he wants celtic armor.

very nice job, i always loved that hat. i just stumbled apon his patterns too. i really like several of them. I might buy a few eventually but i have like 200 ideas now that Tandy leather is offering thier patterns for free. There are several steampunk patterns i want to build. I got that journal makers oil leather bundle for Springfield leather when it was on a huge sale. I really like the 35sf of random leather they selected.
