  2. Well I just got home with my new to sewing machine. Was able to locate it within 30 min of me. It seems to be in good condition. Sews good on test runs. New learning curve on new machine.. trying to figure out why it is set up with a 135x16 -24 system when all the info I can on it says it is suppose to use a 134-35 needle system ?. Anyone know the difference in the two needle systems ?

  6. I have a one ton press that I use to punch holes in my belts. I use wood spacers for each size belt to ensure the holes are centered. I have three old Stimpson rivet, snap presses that I picked up off of eBay. Solid cast iron wonderful press. I have each set up for a particular rivet or snap task. I made or modified the tooling for each. I also have a old 5-10 ton not sure which arbor press that I may set up for small cricket press.

  11. Don’t leave greased lighting on there to long it will hurt the paint finish.
  12. I am listen to you. But got my mind on a servo motor. I am sometimes to stubborn for my on good.
  13. Ok good advice. Nothing is on it right now. It was always used as a foot or hand crank. Does it hurt anything to dissable the brake on a servo motor? I have one on my Adler 69 and hate the brake. I was a little Leary of the patchers for what others said about them not being good stickers.. This thing actually lays down a pretty good stitch line.
  14. Well I finally went and bought the Adler 30-7. Glad I made the trip. This machine has not seen a lot of use. In the same family since new with just occasional use. A big shout and thank you to Glenn for taking the time to answer my questions help get a couple things adjusted on it. Next in line is putting a sero motor on it. I will post some pics after finish gettting it set up.,

  17. AndyL1 do you use the Glowforge just for surface art or do you also use it to cut out patterns. If so how good of a job does it do and what about the burnt edge. What do you do with it. Thanks ken
  18. I have been picking up Stimpson 405 press when I can find them. These are the old cast iron ones. Really robust press. Wouldn’t mind picking up another one. I use rivets and snaps from Weaver supply. Pleased so far.
