  1. Threepets I know this maybe to late but I have just made a how to make chinks DVD that will help you make chaps. This is a 2 1/2 hour DVD that goes from start to finish on a single pair so you get to see how I make mine. you can order them at www.cowcampsaddlery.webs.com
  2. Here is the latest headstall off the bench. This is a prize for the Southeastern Buckaroo Association. I used HO 9/10oz strap for the tooling leather and 4/6oz laitgo for the lining. I had the silver work done by Wages Silversmiths. I made three all the same for them hope you like these. Mark

Here is what I have been told but Cuffs In the old days the shirts came with one length of sleeves so if you had long arms the shirt would not cover the whole arm leaving it exposed to the elements, sun,cold and anything that would cut burn or scratch you arm. cuffs would protect your from these things. some used gloves with the gauntlets for the same thing. There where times when they would not need to wear gloves and so the cuff act as gauntlets on the gloves. I have no idea if this is true or not but makes sense to me. as I have long arms and if I have a shirt that is short I can use the cuffs to protect my arms. Mark

    Rob That looks like it would work nice to me. I think you will sell it at 350.00 but I think you should set the price at 400.00 at least. Mark

  13. Tim Really nice work on these. I would have to say the something as Elton. They rap around the leg a little to much from the knee down I think. I have not made any rodeo chaps all working chaps here but have seen a lot of them. Nice work on them Tim keep it up. Mark

    New Stamps

  22. Well I have the Patterns done. and some are printed up now. I will put them on My web site for $10.00 each. I hope this will help out. I would love to just give them out but it costs to have them printed up and to ship them out. I have not got the breast collar patterns worked up yet just the martingales.I have two different one in the pattern pack. I also have slobber strap patterns too.
