  1. Hi Nick. This is probably a Highlead 318, made for Mitsubishi. Highlead makes this machine for many companies, including us. Our machine is the Class 17. The original machines were the Brother 797, and the Chandler DY 337. On the machine in the video, he is using the upholstery feet instead of the leather feet that we use. Thanks, Steve
  2. I would like to thank everybody for your support regarding the servo motor issue. We will always do our very best to make sure that our reputation will never be compromised. Thanks, Steve
  3. Great work! Glad you found us. Steve
  4. Hello mcmillen67. Welcome to LW. Glad you found us. Steve
  5. Hi Guys. When using the slotted plate for top-stitching, or for finer leathers, remove the feed dog and then add some stitch length to compensate for no feed dog. For top-stitching, use the standard left toe presser foot, you can also use the double toe presser foot for sewing lighter weight leathers but the double toe presser foot will not allow you to get close to the edge for top-stitching. THanks, Steve
  6. Another bad day?!?! I will be glad to help you as well. Hi Bob! Steve
  7. Hello. We too have experimented with the motors. We have been in contact with the factory and are waiting to hear from them. They have all the info that they will need to correct this problem. Just like others that have posted pictures and videos, we have done the same with our factory. We will keep you updated when we have more info. Thanks, Steve
  8. Hi Eric. Looks really good to me. Easy to navigate and easy to understand. Good job! Steve
  9. Hi all. On all of these types of machines, ( Consew 225, 226 255, Juki 562, 563, Singer 111W, and so on), the belt timing is critical. On the bottom of these machines there are timing marks. Bob at Toledo has the pictures. This timing adjustment is the FIRST thing that you check. If the belt timing is off, then it doesn't matter about any other timing, (hook timing or feed timing), it will not sew correctly. Please make sure the the belt timing is correct before you proceed with any other adjustments. Steve
  10. Hi James. On my website you will see it. It is a top and bottom feed roller foot machine. Thanks, Steve
  11. Hi steadybrook. Our COBRA 8810 will sew with 138 thread and up to 16 oz. leather. Thanks, Steve
  12. Also, make sure that the belt hasn't slipped. When the take up lever is in the highest position, the arrow on the indicator should line up with the line on the cog wheel that the belt goes on. These indicators are on the bottom of the machine where the belt is. Steve
  13. Hi monkfinck. Have you checked the needle bar height? If you need a new shuttle hook, or race assembly one of us sewing machine dealers can get it for you. Let me know. Steve
  14. HI McGrath. Welcome to LW. Glad you found us. Steve

  19. Hey Dallas. Ask Wizcraft what he did to his Class 4 at work to make his motor respond better. I think it was a minor adjustment. Steve
  20. Hello everybody. It's time to make this announcement. 2 years ago, my good friend Bob Douglas, told me that if I ever wanted to manufacture a splitter, to use the Landis 30 as my model. He said to find a good one and send it to our factory and have it stretched to 14 inches. It will be hand cranked and will be mounted on a motorized table. The target date will be the end of July. The initial price will be about $2000.00. Please call me for more details. Thanks, Steve
  21. Hi Wiz and Gregg. You both are right. There are so many variances with the 31-15, but if they are set right they will all work. In a pinch, I have used home machine needles, and even 135X17 needles. Hope you both are doing well. Steve
  22. Hi Cathy. Please go to our website and click on the instructional video button. Scroll down to the youtube video's and you will see a lady by the name of Hedley Pepper. She is a maker of handbags. You will have more info regarding your request. Thanks, Steve
