  1. A little more fat is good for pups. You probably have the best for him. Her?
  2. We give ours their kibble for treats, too. Honest Kitchen, to be exact. That's why I asked. It looks the same. It's probably better for them than most of the high dollar treats, anyway, although we do those now and then.
  3. That's a mighty fine bag. Nice job. That looks like good quality goodies, like Honest Kitchen or something.
  4. Nice design. Not over complicated. I hope they do well for you.
  5. Beautiful work. That brass end cap you made matches the whole thing perfectly. So it has an allen head inside it. It is a small concession to having it done like it is.
  6. I just found this thread. What a great project. I love seeing old tools brought back to life.
  7. Beautiful gifts! Quite a step above ziplocks. I can imagine how pleased they were all for those.
  8. That's a good design. Simple yet attractive.
  9. Well, then it's as good as they get. There are a few really good ones out there and his are among the best. Enjoy.
  10. Nothing beats a good swivel knife. A bad one makes tooling a chore and a good one makes it a pleasure. What brand is that one? My best are a couple of Hackbarths I got some years ago.
  11. Coming along nicely. Looks like you have room for about 30 pipes on it but you mentioned tobacco and other stuff so that will reduce the number of them. It should be most interesting when done.
  12. Figure carving isn't easy. Yours is top notch.
  13. What a fun job that must have been. You did a great job matching the loops to the belt. Outstanding work.
  14. I realize this is a necro post but I felt there was something I could add, should anyone cruise through old threads and read through them looking for information. There are a lot of good tips already for removing the rust so I won't get into that. After I remove rust from tools and stamps however, I use Birchwood-Casey Super Blue or Birchwood-Casey Perma Blue to seal the metal. It's touch-up bluing and turns bare metal dark blue or black but does keep it from corroding right away, provided you take care of your tools and don't leave them out in a damp environment to rust up again. You can get it from ebay, Amazon or any number of gun smithing suppliers.
  15. Thanks for the MDR. Good to know the translator works, too.
  16. Ornyal, your English is fine. Don't worry about getting your point across. No one could do any better. Mon Français, en revanche, est très nul. Je dois utiliser un traducteur de l'Anglais vers le Français. LOL.
  17. The taller one looks great. It's a very classy design, as @fredk already mentioned. The part you had to stretch becomes a straight cylinder and that also adds to the overall look. Plan that when you make the next one and you won't have to stretch it there. No stitch separation that way. Or stretch it before you stitch it and the seam will stay tight.
  18. I like your 10-rd pouches. They are a good design.. They're reminiscent of an M1876 McKeever Cartridge Box.
  19. Pretty cool. I look forward to seeing what you do for number four.
  20. Clean design. Looks nice.
  21. Looks good. It's the first one I've seen with a bottom piece riveted on. That should help it keep its shape.
  22. You can give him camera ready artwork and he'll make a custom stamp of it.
  23. If this takes off, you can get a Delron maker's stamp made at Grey Ghost Graphics for a reasonable price. I have a couple of his and they're really good quality. I also have a steel one but I paid dearly for it. I used to smack them with a mallet but these days I press them into the leather with my drill press (off, of course). Obviously, the one on the left is the Delron one.
  24. Looks like a pretty nice sheath. Your friend should be mighty happy. My calipers don't have it that good. LOL.
  25. If people want them and you can provide them, it's a business proposition. Your cozy idea is a fun one. People like hand made items and leather has a quality feel to it. Keep your invested time reasonable and make some extra bucks. I personally like your simpler, uncluttered designs. In advertising art the white space (un-decorated area) is as important as the design. Too much detail takes away from the design effectiveness. I think the idea has potential. Keep making them and see where it goes. By the way, what does the seam side look like?
