  1. Buy a pack of each one and see what you like the best. They don't cost much.
  2. Really nice job !! Your son better be proud of it !!!
  3. I start out on a stone then may go wet dry sand paper and finish by buffing. Buffing wheel with green compound on a grinder works fine if you don't have a buffer. Put the blade in the haft then sharpen your awl.
  4. Do you have a picture of how the transmisson ties into the pullies ? Neat ideal !!

  6. If i sew all the way round a belt when i get to where i started i sew 3 or 4 stitches over where i started and call it good. I generally start at the buckle end and go round.
  7. I'm not wanting to start a agurment but you did post on that thread to Syliva about BRL and put the hugging smiley thing at the end. It's gone now but i READ it !!
  8. I have had smoke coming off of a needle several times with lube on and off the thread and had the thread melt into while sewing. You won't touch a needle like doing that but once !!
  9. Get some cardboard boxes the same hight or close it as the bench will be and see how things work out as far drawers and stuff. You might want to make it in two 4 foot sections. Because of weight and like the other poster said for getting it in the house. My bench is 4x8 foot and had a time moving it in shop and i had took everthing out of the drawers. I had get a jack to be able to lift it high enough to get the rollers under the table it was so heavy. One more thing have the carpenter put it togeather with screws not nails. Makes it a whole lot easier to change things down the line.
  10. Good deal on winning and second place. Nice looking purse and holder. But they do look kinda wierd but cool with the heads sticking out there.
  11. Really can't see anything. Black on black didn't work for your picture and their pretty dark to. More light or a lighter background would help.
  12. It's going to be nice when you get it done for sure.
  13. Weaver sells feet for Adler's. Not sure if they fir the same model you have though
  14. I've bought from several times over the years and never had a problem. They have always been helpful. Here's the price link. http://www.wickett-craig.com/index.php/leathers/pricing
  15. That stuff i really sticky best i remember. Try putting some baby powder in a sock and and tap it on where your sewing and see if that helps. You may need a bigger needle to.
  16. I would try backing the tension all the way off and sew a few stitches see how it looks and tighten a little at a time if you need to. That's what i do if things get screwed up. Most of the time when i get it set for the thinness i'm going to sew it is fine for anything thicker.
  17. I think i would of moved the buckle to the back or around to the front because i think it is going to be digging into you right arm when you move your arm. Rest of it looks pretty nice.
  18. I like it . Nice job !!!
  19. Get the how to make a holster book from Springfield Leather or Tandy. It will explain how make a holster. http://springfieldleather.com/26939/Book%2CHow-to-Make-Holsters/
  20. I would just put through my fingers ( kinda bend it when your pulling it through across your fingers ) to soften it up. The Aussie leather conditioner will help soften it to.
  21. Nice job !!!
  22. If i'm going around rounded corners i glue the gusset to the backside first and use binder clips to make sure things where their supposed to be and sew taking the clips off as i come to them. Then i do the front side the same way. Square corners i can't help ya.
  23. Nice job !!
