  1. I get at a Fred's store it's kinda like a walmart. It's 2.00 a roll i think, i'm not sure what brand it is. Had a guy come by the shop a couple of weeks ago and he was asking what i did with and i told him and that i got the wood grain print because it held better that the white with flowers.
  2. Nice job !!
  3. I've started using contact shelf paper after reading about it on here. I like it a lot better than the tape and it works just as well or better IMO. First of the year i did a full basket weave on a checkbook cover 3/4 ounce and it wasn't streached when i checked it against my pattern it was the same size as when i started.
  4. These folks work on machines i think and their in TN. Not sure if it's anywhere close to you or not. http://www.nickosew.com/index.php
  5. Thanks Sylvia for telling me about that !! I'll try what they said and see if that works.
  6. Hear ya go, just a little ways down the page he shows how to do it. http://leatherworker.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=9940
  7. Is anybody else having trouble with Adobe flash player crashing all the time ? I have reloaded it and it still does at least once a day. Very seldom ever had any problems with that happening on my old computer.
  8. Trox i was mostly looking at their lights. I have a few Singers one Union Special and small flatbed clone machine along with the Juki.
  9. I went and looked at all their stuff but didn't see any prices. Do you have email them for a price ?
  10. Stick your change in jar as soon as you walk in the door. Another thing is when you get a dollar bill back in change put it in a pocket by it's self and put it away as soon as you walk in the door. Between both of them it will add up pretty quick and you really don't miss it to much. That's what i do and then get tools i want.
  11. The reason i asked about a picture was that 10 or 12 years ago their were a bunch of machines being sold on ebay that facing the wrong way just like in your picture. I don't think i would want one like that.
  12. Good deal !!! I'm glad to see some people are still using recurve bow even if it is a high tech one and their fingers not one of those new triggers. I guess that's what their called really don't know.
  13. What brand is it and do you have a picture ?
  14. I'm sorry to hear of Tony's passing. I always enjoyed reading his post. He will be missed for sure.
  15. That's pretty durn nice work. Looks like it fits good to.
  16. Take a halter that you have and measure it for the lengths you need. For the cheeks and nose you need to make a pattern using what ever size concho's you want to use. The throat will need to be longer if you want it shaped like the one in the picture a little bit of trail and error to get the right length. You can make a rounder out of a piece of hard wood. Split it and put a hinge on the end and drill what ever size hole you need put it in a vise and pull you throat piece through to round it. It's not as good as a metal one but it will work.
  17. Yes i care about price. But you can only pick one.
  18. He might be on vacation.
  19. On their website it says to email them and they do all they can to get the right parts if they have them.
  20. I never have tried this just now though of it. Draw a light line from corner to corner making a X fill in one part of the X say the top part then fill one in straight down ( the bottom) from the first one. I might try it tonight when it cools off some it was 109 when i went to town round 4:00 this afternoon.
  21. Trox i have a Pro 2000 one of the first ones i think. It has Juki wrote on it in 3 or 4 places.
  22. Bring your strap or what ever your sewing down enough four 3 of 4 stitches and sew in reverse then go forward and your stitch is locked. If your sewing all the way around a piece when you get back to where you started stitch 3 or 4 stitches over where you started and their locked.
  23. Trox i have a 441 Juki like your machine. The right and left toes are the only thing i bought extra. I have made lots of holsters without the plate no problems at all, never really figured i needed one. As far as the feed dogs i can't say because my machine doesn't have them it just has a flat plate there. Made saddle bags and breifcase's and all kinds of other things to no problem. I use the left toe 99.9% of the time. But the right toe foot is nice to have when you need it.
  24. Get one of the heavier machines one that will sew 3/4 and get a 16 inch arm you will be glad you did. I don't think that you will use the flat bed part as often as you think you will but i could be wrong to.
