Looks like a keeper to me. i REALLY dig the different hardware your coming up with for adjusting, very unique. Looks like it could be gigged comfortably with a bass even.

Bill, A doctors office or hospital might keep xrays in records , but generally a vet office wont so maybe able to have the local horse doc save them for you. I would think tho that spray adhesive on anything like mylar or somthing would work. I bet there is sheets of somthing or another at your local walmart or a hobby type shed

Good call

Well the more i look at that one more i like it, and i liked it alot the first time!i think thats a wicked nice strap and really dig the idea of rifle sling hooks for the adjusters.
-
That looks like a pretty straight forward style strap. Altho i like the look or western buckles on guitars straps i dont like what they do to a guitar.

Alther thing is not all brass is the same, there are several variations of Brass. Admiralty brass ,Rivet brass,Naval brass and many more all depending on the alloy mix. Brass is any alloy of copper and zinc and should have zero magnetic effect at all. I dont know about "white metal" but there is a white brass thats really brittle.

Hey Bill, this is what i do Olathe boot on foot>Option Left or right foot>Pull knee to ear , Kick hard down onto tower will cause CPU to "disable script debugging".

Plating often will often look to have a better shine the solid, a good ecample of this is a pre 1984 solid penny and new copper plated zinc penny. Any solid brass or copper ect will darken and patina, and there are even varying things one can do to make cool patina colors

joule, I am by no means trying to turn you off doing anything just wanted you to know the scope of project and yes it WILL talk you all winter to do a hide of that size. I am having a Buff tanned chemically by a professional tanner and the turn around time for that is 2 months(im sure his scheduale has something to do with that). Like I said it takes me a good 3 days for a coyote sized critter. You want to salt it if you freeze it or not, it is part of the drying process especcially of a hide that size. If you need or want any help shoot me a PM. BTW I only mentioned the hair on process to save time in quickly exsplaining the process as there is more steps to hair off.

Wow you really like to jump with both feet. Braining tanning a complete hide is ALOT of work and i do mean ALOT. If your set on doing something with the hide yourself it may be a good thing to start by making raw hide which Kevin Willy recently did a picture tutorial in pretty good detail of the process. Save the braintanning to smaller critters. But the basic hair ON process this. Flesh it Dry it Flesh it on a beam Flesh it some more Wash it Dry it liquify the brains, (for a yearlin your gunna need ALOT) Rub it all in and and then start the softening process In the old days the Lakota women chewed it,Got all winter? Many now stetch it over something like a cable or smaller beam Once soft you smoke it to water proof it This isnt gunna tell you how to do it as there is alot of smaller tricks and tips but just a idea on whats involved It takes me about 3 solid days to brain tan a coyote not including time to chase off fleas

the number of gun and knife accessories

It is not the need to own firearms but a RIGHT to here in the USA. One need not to look any further then any history book about the war of the revolution, had it not been for private ownership of firearms the US to would still be a commonwealth of England. You say you have had less then 100 gun related homicides but in my state that has very open gun laws and nearly every legal citizen here has at least one we had had exactly zero this year alone. What you don’t mention is the assault rate and the influx of immigrant crimes as risen dramatically in Australia. As for hunting, well you eat don’t you? It’s much easier to stomach what you eat when you allow other people to do your killing for you but what’s that say about you. It’s all too easy to judge with little to no knowledge of what one is judging about sad to say. I for one hunt as it am my heritage and honor to do so. Also you obviously haven’t seen what happens when wildlife is left alone and the disease of over population sets in, I have and its terrible thing to see. I do highly commend you for at least asking and trying to see what you don’t understand. And don’t be put off or think that the responses of my friends with “gun control is aiming what your hitting at" though true it does give folks who don’t understand a bad impression. If we are giving someone with an actual interest in WHY we stand for what we stand for these comments should be left by the way side. Firearms are what they are, a tool no more evil or deadly then the metal they are made from or the leather that carries them. Its intent of the person in possession that makes the decision if they are a weapon or not. Remember Cain killed Able with a HOE not a pistol. The History of Okinawa for instance is a very interesting one; it’s probably been the most weapon banned country is the history of the world... Also happens to have the longest history of occupation, first the Japanese shogun clans, then the Japanese imperial army and now the US. That isn’t a coincidence. Hitler too told his country they no longer needed personal firearms because the Nazi party and his special police would protect them from criminals, they too turned in their firearms, then large book burnings of all books of free thought and personal freedom and by the time the peoples living in Germany realized they had been subjected they had no means what so ever to defend themselves from the Gestapo, the very police Mr. Hilter promised would protect them. Is the loss of certain freedoms good for the people or good for SOME people and what are the intentions of the people that its good for. I think that is the question everyone in the free world should ask, and then reflect on how those freedoms were fought and maintained. I completely understand the desire of a crime free society and dont beleive anyone in there right mind would want any different and with that ill qoute you " I suppose trying to convince me that personal guns are needed here, is like trying to convince someone who lives in a desert that they need an umbrella. " Have you ever seen what happens in a desert when is DOES rain? I suspect in there near furture from talking to several friends in AU, one in perticular is a Captian of a special forces unit in Australian army that your skys are clouding up. Seeing it or not is up to you, as is with all of us. -

Well thank you folks, The only thing I fault myself with was the border stamping but after doing this I was sat down with a good friend of mine who builds some seriously nice saddles and he schooled me with a few pointers and sorta made the dim light in my head turn on so my next one should be better yet as far as the stamping is concerned. Like I said the most imprtant thing to me is the fit. Here is another shot of the sheath and the fit. -
Oh yea Im with you NOOOOOO BUCKLES ON STRAPS,hehe

Jordan what do you think abouit that songwriter deluxe, I seen some at the custom shop and thought they looked nice but i didnt get a chance to place any. Right now for accoustic I have a alverez that i wouldnt trade for the world but i wish it had a bit more playable neck but that might be because im used to being a tele wacker and they are about the easiest playing plank to spank. I still wont trade the alverez 22 years of cured rosewood tone, everyone else who plays it raves, so i think its just me. At anyrate i was concidering one of those Gibbies
