  3. Hey all, I was up in the holster section, and I was going to post my question in Shooter McGavin's post, Bonding Double layer belts. http://leatherworker.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=51887 But I didn't want to take his thread off topic. My question on lining belts/making double layer belts, I under stand bonding the belts with a roller, but do you do that before or after you carve or stamp the leather? Thanks, Chris
  4. I was looking for a different book, and I stumbled on to this. Appearently Tandy is reproducing these. Heck it may have been discussed here before, sorry if it has. Before you click on the link, please be sure that you are in the seated position. I have heard that this book is very very hard to come by. So it may be worth it?? http://www.tandyleatherfactory.com/en-usd/home/department/books-patterns/61938-00.aspx Chris.

  6. I've wondered this myself. Would you bevel and slick the edges before lining or after? Thanks, Chris
  7. Very nice!!! How long did it take you to hand stitch it? Chris
  8. Another one, if you can find it, is Al Stohlman's home study course. Goes from basic tooling, right up into making a purse. It gives all of the tools needed as well as how to do it. Chris
  9. Looks nice!!! Did you file all of the rasp away, or can you still feel it a little? Chris
  10. Thanks Bruce. That is what I was wanting to know. They seem affordable for USA made stuff. That's what I'm after! Thank You, Chris
  11. Has anyone used any of the Weaver Master tools? I have emailed them and they said that they are made in the US. Which is important to me, and the price doesnt seem too bad. Are they on par with say, Osborne tools? That are made now, not antiques lol. Just wondering what everyones opinion is on them? Thanks, Chris P.S. Please dont start a war as in these tools are better then those tools. Pretty please
  12. When I rode, we used the saddle bags as adult beverage containers. All we did was to put a large ziploc bag in side the saddlebag, put the beverages and ice inside the ziploc. It worked, not exactly pretty, but it did work. I am interested in what you decide to use. But if you line the bags, don't forget a drain. Chris
  13. Thanks Jo. If it's available I would like Chris B. Thanks, Chris
  14. In my controls I have seen a box that says, previous user names. Can I change that? If I can, how do I go about it? Thanks, Chris
