  7. Hey all, After reading the post about the $56,000.00 purse on E-bay, I went on an internet hunt. Many hours later I came across this site. I'm not sure if anyone else knows of this site, but I found it quite interesting that they would be so kind as to put a complete purse making tutorial up. How To Make A Purse Well check it out, there is another page on "How to make a purse from a Picture" linked at the bottom of the page. Ken
  8. Again Larry your work amazes me at the beauty. Thanks for sharing the pics, and keep up the great work. You would do very well up here during the Calgary Stampede, with all the world class rodeo stars. I'm sure that you would sell a bundle of those. Ken
  9. Well Micah, I think that turned out exceptionally beautiful. I realy like that color, and the white stitching is a beautiful contrast to the rest of it. Great work, and thanks for sharing. Ken
  10. Nice looking work there Gray, the sissy bar bag is quite nice. I have a customer looking for one similar to that for his V-Rod. Thanks for sharing your pics, it's always nice to see the work everyone else is doing. Ken

Very nice work there Tom. Good luck at the craft fair. Ken
  13. I would hazard a quess that it is because you are thinning the acrylic with water. If you were to use an actual acrylic paint thinner available at the local hobby store or even "Michaels", you would have better results. These thinners are specially formulated to thin the acrylic, but not change the properties, such as water is most likely doing. Also, if you were to paint all the areas that are to be colored with a base coat of white, you will be able to get a better color on the finished surface. As color is determined by the reflection of light through the paint, with a darker base coat you will end up with a darker finish. Ken
  14. Very nice airbrush work indeed Tim. It really makes the eagle pop out at ya. Ken
  15. Welcome to the forum Gray, We are happy to here that you made it. As for stupid questions, there are none. Ask away, someone will have an answer for you. And yes, pics are always welcome. Good Luck Ken
  16. Gray, Welcome by the way. Lefty braiding is done when you have two sides of a project that are to be laced. The one side you lace as you normally would, the other you have to start at the opposite end and lace in a lefthanded direction. Rather than lacing left to right, you are lacing right to left. It's a bit confusing at first, but once you get the hang of it, not realy that hard. What it does on the completed project is make the laces on both sides of the project uniform and both going in the same direction. Ken
  17. Patrice, I see some very beautiful pics when I click. Try highlighting the link and copy and paste it inton your address bar on top of your internet browser. You should be able to see them then. Ken
  18. That is some very nice work Dave, I realy like the Kudo one, the combination of colors mixed with the lacing makes it look very nice. Do you make the knives as well? Ken
  19. That's the type of heater I used to import for the carwash industry, and never had problems with it either. Ken

  21. Well, seeing as everything is up and running smooothly again....we should let her be for now....BUT!!!! Ken
  22. Steve, I find that using a surgeons scalpel or very sharp exacto knife the best for thicker leather. The pigskin and lighter weight leathers I just use the scissors. When I put the liner onto a hat brim, I will glue it down first, then trim the excess with scissors. Ken
  23. Thats GREAT Roger. Now you can start making "The Big Bucks" like we all said a while back. Congratulations. Ken
