  5. Another fantastic piece of art! I love your work! Tom
  6. Add it to your profile so everyone becomes aware. Else you get offers from the UK or elsewhere! I see from your IP address that you are at Lacombe. So Leighton's is relatively close to you. Tom
  7. I would suggest that people would like to know where in the world they would be buying from and of course have some idea of the related shipping costs and time in transit. Also nice to know what part of eBay your listing will likely turn up on. There is no intended slight to you or anyone else. Just makes good business sense to know where you are dealing. Tom
  8. OP is located in Palma, Balearic Islands, 07010, Spain according to his IP address. Tom
  9. Haven't cut myself yet with a draw gauge, but have with the wooden strap cutter. I was squeezing the bars that hold the blade together to fit thinner leather. The knife came up through the top bar and bit me! Now there is a piece of leather glued over the top and bottom bars as a warning and for protection in case I didn't learn the lesson the first time. For the draw gauge, grind the point off, grind it to a good radius. You won't be using that top 1/4" anyhow and helps prevent accidental cuts if left sit upright. I've heard of fellows cutting their wrist reaching for something on the other side of the knife. Mine has a special place in a drawer and sits upside down, point down. Tom

  12. My guess is not the foot itself, but the balance between the inner and outer feet. I doubt that the foot is too long. There are others here more expert than I am. Tom

  14. Did you buy from a dealer or second hand? If from a dealer, you should be seeking help from them. This machine should have been sewen off before being sold to you to prove it was adjusted correctly. Tom
  15. I wouldn't add more oil. To much and it will be a soggy mess. You could let it sit for a few days to migrate and level out. If that doesn't work, and it is soggy, you can remove some of the oil by burying it in floor dry or other absorptive material (kitty litter, corn starch, saw dust). Stir it up every few hours and over a week or so, the oil content will be reduced. Tom
  16. Johanna is working on it. Server problem affects everyone. Tom

  22. Some cases diagnosed as carpal tunnel are actually problems in the shoulder. Note, I said some, so don't take it that carpal tunnel is fake. It really is a problem for some as you see above. I know a woman that had carpal tunnel surgery on one wrist 3 times and even with trying to avoid tasks that would irritate or increase the risk of its return, it still kept coming back. She was finally referred to an assessment clinic where they look at all the possibilities. Her problems all originated in her shoulder and propagated down her arm. I don't recall the treatment she had, but think it was physio for the most part because I don't remember her having another surgery. Anyhow, it's no longer a problem for her. To bad our doctors aren't all perfect! Would help with so many of our complaints! Tom
  23. Big hint! Here are the marketplace rules, please comply http://leatherworker.net/forum/forum/70-announcements/ Tom
