  1. She hasn't been back on the site since she posted the ad. According to her ad, she is in Montreal Quebec, Canada. @MaureenR Are you still interested in selling your machine?
  2. I have a "horse of a different colour" as the old saying goes. When I was a teenager, I bought a horse from the Blood Reserve (natives). He had a lazy B on the right shoulder as that was an identifier for the Blood Reserve, and a 121 on the right hip signifying the native who had owned it. So 2 brands, but only 1 previous owner. I would also guess that sometimes cattle were re-branded when sold to a different ranch/owner, though I hadn't seen any such cases in my few years around cattle, farms, and ranches as a teen.
  3. The angled bolt looks like it is part of a motor tension system. Also looks similar to brackets used to clamp work lights to a table.
  4. I think you have been using pre-lubricated thread. Several years ago, Tandy supplied white pre-lubricated thread in 1# spools. I have purchased pre-lubricated thread here. "We are now having our own brand of bonded and pre-lubricated* nylon and polyester thread made for us, under the Cowboy label." I have been using their thread for several years. It's not as "wet" as the Tandy thread was, hardly leaves any deposit on the needle, most of the time, not noticeable at all.
  5. Moved your post to leather sewing machines.
  6. You need to post your location. From your IP address you appear to be in the Dallas Texas area. You could update your profile with your location.
  7. Location: Costa Mesa - according to his profile
  8. Just semantics, but 0 rpm is stopped, not running. The question really is, what speed does it start out at, and does it have enough torque to punch through the leather?
  9. There are lots of options as to how to reduce the file size. Please do it and post your photos here. See this thread for some helps plus tons more on the internet. By the way, LW messages have the same size restrictions.
  10. It appears you are selling this item so moved it to the Marketplace. Please provide complete description, does it work, etc. Read the marketplace rules and comply. You need to provide a price. Some info on resizing and posting photos https://leatherworker.net/forum/topic/15122-how-to-post-pictures-on-lw/?do=findComment&comment=721688 If this post doesn't help, scroll back up the thread and there are lots more helps and suggestions. Don't post heic files as many people can not view them. Convert or save them as jpeg files.
  11. Moved this to the Marketplace as that is where it belongs. Besides the price, please read the Marketplace rules and comply. Please describe the condition. Does it operate correctly?
  12. Moved to Specialty Leatherwork > Saddles and Tack > Saddle Identification, @DocHadley Some photos might be of some help. Reduce photo size to about 1024 pixels in the longest dimension to meet the file size restrictions here.
  13. Moved your post to Marketplace > Items For Sale > Machinery -- Sewing and Stitching > New and Refurbished to Like New You'll get more exposure here.
  14. You might find some inspiration here. https://leatherworker.net/forum/topic/88881-stitching-chiselsirons-and-pricking-irons-reviews-and-information/
  15. Plug it in. If it gets hot, the element is working. This is pretty old. Maybe from the 50s or 60s. Have lots better now for good prices. Unless someone is interested in an antique, I'd chuck it in the garbage.
  16. @Cleggy Moved your post to leather sewing machines. Posts in Help require approval for every post. It is more like the classified ads, looking for work, or looking for a worker to do something. Even though this area is for leather sewing machines, it is the best place for help on all sewing machines.
  17. Photo is 1.3MB. You can reduce the file size a lot more. 800 or 1024 pixels for longest edge is great. See these links for more assistance. Lots of suggestions and helps in this thread. https://leatherworker.net/forum/topic/15122-how-to-post-pictures-on-lw/?do=findComment&comment=551171 If posting from a phone, https://leatherworker.net/forum/topic/15122-how-to-post-pictures-on-lw/?do=findComment&comment=721688
  18. Please pass on how you got through to order.
  19. No replies from the OP so moving this post to old/sold.
  20. Moved your post to the marketplace since you are selling it. Please read the marketplace rules and comply. Photos would be a great help. Is your price US or CAN $?
  21. Agreed! I see so many "ideas" posted here and there about the best household cleaner, the best glass cleaner, etc. that say use vinegar and baking soda. Even for clothes washing! Would be smarter to use straight vinegar, then neutralize with baking soda after if there is any risk of the vinegar continuing to cause corrosion after it has dried. I think that because it foams up they think vinegar and baking soda are doing a great job!!
  22. Some photos might help. Overall from the front, back, close up of presser foot from front and back and from the left end. Chances are it is a clone and photos would be a big help in identifying it.
