  1. @pierre2171 Moved your post to leather sewing machines.
  2. Moved to Specialty Leatherwork > Saddles and Tack > Saddle Identification, @DocHadley Some photos might be of some help. Reduce photo size to about 1024 pixels in the longest dimension to meet the file size restrictions here.
  3. Moved your post to Marketplace > Items For Sale > Machinery -- Sewing and Stitching > New and Refurbished to Like New You'll get more exposure here.
  4. You might find some inspiration here. https://leatherworker.net/forum/topic/88881-stitching-chiselsirons-and-pricking-irons-reviews-and-information/
  5. Plug it in. If it gets hot, the element is working. This is pretty old. Maybe from the 50s or 60s. Have lots better now for good prices. Unless someone is interested in an antique, I'd chuck it in the garbage.
  6. @Cleggy Moved your post to leather sewing machines. Posts in Help require approval for every post. It is more like the classified ads, looking for work, or looking for a worker to do something. Even though this area is for leather sewing machines, it is the best place for help on all sewing machines.
  7. Photo is 1.3MB. You can reduce the file size a lot more. 800 or 1024 pixels for longest edge is great. See these links for more assistance. Lots of suggestions and helps in this thread. https://leatherworker.net/forum/topic/15122-how-to-post-pictures-on-lw/?do=findComment&comment=551171 If posting from a phone, https://leatherworker.net/forum/topic/15122-how-to-post-pictures-on-lw/?do=findComment&comment=721688
  8. Please pass on how you got through to order.
  9. No replies from the OP so moving this post to old/sold.
  10. Moved your post to the marketplace since you are selling it. Please read the marketplace rules and comply. Photos would be a great help. Is your price US or CAN $?
  11. Agreed! I see so many "ideas" posted here and there about the best household cleaner, the best glass cleaner, etc. that say use vinegar and baking soda. Even for clothes washing! Would be smarter to use straight vinegar, then neutralize with baking soda after if there is any risk of the vinegar continuing to cause corrosion after it has dried. I think that because it foams up they think vinegar and baking soda are doing a great job!!
  12. Some photos might help. Overall from the front, back, close up of presser foot from front and back and from the left end. Chances are it is a clone and photos would be a big help in identifying it.
  13. Moved to wanted
  14. Just a thought that came to mind. Is there a brake in your servo motor that is making it difficult to handwheel? If so, disable the brake. You can test by removing the belt to see if it is easier to turn.
  15. Moved to wanted
  16. https://leatherworker.net/forum/forum/82-machinery-sewing-and-stitching/ Also read the rules
  17. The edge of your leather is not straight. It may be the way you lay it on your cutting table. Clamp your leather down with its edge against your straight edge to make sure it stays straight. Or check your straight edges to make sure they are straight. Use a strap cutter.
  18. Check your bobbin and tension plates as well for grooves.
  19. Users can not delete posts. Once the user's edit time has expired, moderators can edit those posts if we receive what you want changed. You can do this via the LW message system.
  20. If you are selling, this post should be in the marketplace and follow the marketplace rules. Let us know your intent. We can move your post to the proper location. Also post your pictures on this site, not third party hosted. You may need to resize your picture files to meet the file size restrictions here. Hi-res photos don't add anything to the viewing experience on phones and computers. 800 to 1024 pixels in the longest dimension is quite adequate and allows lots of pictures to be uploaded.
  21. From their website, veg tan: Valdibrana Conceria, Tarano Italian Vachetta Leather Panels Our 'Valdibrana' Italian Vachetta leather is an Italian vegetable tanned leather from one of premier Tuscan veg tanneries. The 'Tarano' leather is our line of bovine (cow) veg tan Vachetta leather.
  22. You need some pictures, descriptions and quantities. Otherwise only people local to you might bite if they can visit your shop. Please read the marketplace rules and comply. All we can tell from your post is you may have a few totes of scrap metal you want to sell to the first sucker. Note there is a size limitation on picture files. You can reduce the pixel dimensions to 800 to 1024 pixels in the longest dimension. Then you can post lots of pictures.
  23. Post on Youtube and link to it. Definitely not enough space for videos here unfortunately.
  24. Moved your post to Leather Sewing Machines. You'll get more help here. Help wanted posts all have to be approved by a moderator. It is meant to be like help wanted classified ads in newspapers.
