  1. See the post by @PWDrawhorn above.
  2. Please list any shipping information or restrictions.
  3. Please resize photos and post on this site rather than using 3rd party hosts. 3rd party hosted photos often go missing due to changes in the host's policies or the owner moving, deleting, or cancelling their accounts. Then the thread becomes useless for future views and research.
  4. @angusk Moved your post to Dyes, Antiques, Stains, Glues, Waxes, Finishes and Conditioners Posts in help wanted are like classified ads in a news paper looking to hire, or looking for work. It also requires approval for everyone answering your question before you or anyone else can see it.
  5. You need to fix your browser and security settings and any ad or popup blockers. Photos are visible, all loaded with no problem this morning.
  6. And the price is ??????????????? You must post a price in US$.
  7. Moved to Leather sewing machines.
  8. @jukejoe Moved your post to leather sewing machines where you are more likely to get an answer. Help Wanted is like the classified ads in a newspaper, looking for work or looking for a worker. All posts/replies require a moderators approval in Help Wanted, whether a guest or a member. So not the greatest place to post when you want interaction with others.
  9. Here is what I use. https://tandyleather.ca/collections/hardware/products/ribbon-spring-swivel-snaps-nickel-plate?variant=32105508634755
  10. @c2369zulu Moved to Dyes, Antiques, Stains, Glues, Waxes, Finishes and Conditioners
  11. You could add this to your profile. It is helpful when your are seeking information relevant to your location, or for others that would need it to understand your posts more clearly.
  12. Move to 3D Lasers and Printers
  13. Thank you, much appreciated. Some helps here besides on the web.
  14. Please post photos on this site. 3rd party hosted photos often go missing because user deletes, moves files, closes account, or host changes policies or goes out of business. Then the post is useless for any future views or research. There are lots of methods you can use to reduce file sizes to fit restrictions here. Pics over 800 to 1024 pixels wide aren't displayed in full resolution on many device so you don't need 5MB files. Also it takes people on the fringes of the internet sometimes hours to be able to view photos. Be kind to them too!
  15. Looks like a pretty good option versus large presses. https://www.customshapepros.com/accucut-grandemark-2-machine If I had seen this about 10 years ago, I probably would have bought it instead of a large shop press that is at my son's place 60 miles away, not convenient at all! Steel rule dies are usually less expensive too, but may not last as long as heavier dies. Looks like there might be enough room to handle the standard dies too. These are just my impressions based on their web pages.
  16. I have removed mold from vegtan cowhide with liquid saddle soap followed by bleaching with oxalic acid. 1 teaspoon to a pint of clean water. Whether effective for deerskin, maybe test on a small piece first.
  17. We appreciate people not posting 3rd party hosted links as many of them disappear due to changes in hosts' policies, host going out of business, and the person who posted the photos to a 3rd party host moves, deletes, or closes their account resulting in the photos disappearing and leaving a useless post. There are many examples of that problem on this site. Here are a couple for your edification! https://leatherworker.net/forum/topic/14658-basic-leather-carving-tutorial/ https://leatherworker.net/forum/topic/31601-leatherman-charge-pouch/
  18. Not much chance of being able to buy one, so looks like photocopying or scanning is likely the only way to get a copy now. Worldcat.org finds 7 copies in libraries https://www.worldcat.org/title/making-harness-a-step-by-step-guide/oclc/63175098 https://www.gettextbooks.com/isbn/9780975397206/
  19. Your knife appears to be the same as one I have, purchased from Tandy some years ago. The blade quality is low to start with and doesn't hold an edge very well. Needs touching up frequently. Once you have the blade properly profiled, don't get aggressive with touch ups after.
  20. There are a number of suggestions here. Reduce file sizes to about 1024 pixels wide. There are also a number of applications on the web that you can find also. Since you have lots of photos, I would suggest and application or program that will do batches of files as it will save you a lot of time. The photo above is too small to see any detail.
  21. I suppose that you mean grease rather than Vaseline and that this is just a quirk in translation? Another name for Vaseline is Petroleum Jelly. Not usually used as a lubricant in machinery.
  22. @Scottwb96 Moved your post to leather sewing machines. Here is where the machine guys usually hand out.
  23. Moved your post to leather sewing machines where you are more likely to get some help. Resize your photos or set you phone camera to a smaller file size. See this link for some additional suggestions or helps. https://leatherworker.net/forum/topic/15122-how-to-post-pictures-on-lw/?do=findComment&comment=551171 There are lots more helps available on the web.
