  2. Wishful is right...airbrushing is great. I've found that unless you soak the leather all over with dye it will be blotchy. It's that first applying with your applicator loaded with dye that starts all the blotchiness. I feel for you. Dying is when I get anxious because you're at the end of your project.

  4. TOO FANCY!?! He apparently doesn't like lace?? (Customers come in all shapes, sizes and temperaments.) This is for sure. I think it's perfect. At least you can resell it since it's not personalized.

  12. Blake and Northmount are right... all I have are older Tandy craft tools and my projects come out fine. I just haven't bit the bullet yet to purchase better tools.

  15. Thanks Wiscrafts, So sewing motorcycle seats is a no no? This is what I would use it for most. Can you suggest one for the thicker leathers at a reasonable price?
  16. Looking a purchasing a Singer 29K 51. What are the pros and cons to this machine? What will it handle and assure me I'm not making a mistake.

  18. I don't know much about the oil tanned leather. I had a piece and tried to edge it but like you it didn't work well. I then wetted the edge and tried to burnish it but no luck. Maybe someone else here can comment.
  19. You have some nice items on Etsy...looks like the bigger bags are a hit since you've sold mostly large ones. Did I misunderstand? It looks like you already have made some from oil tanned leather.
