  1. are there plastic parts inside the head? Just asking have not seen one of these Jukis but some parts look like plastic (maybe Delrin?)
  2. WOW - thats a nice one and even with reverse. Can´t be much better than in this condition
  3. I know I was thinking of an BUSMC 6 where just the needle feeds the material and the foot holds the material in place while the needle is starting a new stitch... I probably misread something - brain fart... forget it.
  4. That happens quite often. I had that more than 1 time. When I was looking for a patcher a seller even sent me a message the day I wanted to pick it up and told me some one was faster and picked it up 30 minutes ago for the same price - what an axxhole. So better move on and don´t let such idiots bother you.
  5. needle and outer foot I would guess
  6. There is a tiny pin inside the tension unit that pushes against the release disc (not tension disc). You can either shorten the tiny pin a little bit or you can adjust the center bar of the release disc the pin pushes on when you lift the presser foot. In case you shorten the pin too much you still can readjust the center bar a tiny bit or replace the pin with a piece of bicycle spoke.
  7. A larger hand wheel often make sense but on the 211 machines you have the stitch length marked on the hand wheel so when you install a larger / different hand wheel the stitch length dial is no longer present. Yet I have not seen a larger replacement hand wheel for the 211 that has a stitch length dial.
  8. Ha - you hit the Nail, Neil. I was not even thinking of the parts list as it looked too unusual to me . I even have an original parts book "132K6-132K10 and 132K12" So with other words too bad that this machine is no longer complete but maybe its possible to turn it "at least" into a 132K6 as it is quite similar but don´t know. Will see the machine at pentecost... Thnaks a lot for the hint, Neil!!!
  9. regarding pinned posts - well, pinned post surely make sense and Erics post with worth to be pinned BUT sooner or later you have a long list of pinned posts on top of the site and the the new posts starts somewhere at the end of the page. That makes not much sense. What I would suggest is a "Leather Sewing Machine Reference" section for pinned threads and for (if possible) PDF manuals. So the long list of pinned threads are "out of the way" but still present for a quick reference. Just a suggestion... what do you guys (and Admins) think?
  10. you sometimes find the rivets / pins on ebay along with the plates... Or just buy some brass nails.
  11. Jimi, my first guess (or hope) was that it "could" be a needle feed but don´t believe it but who knows... The roller foot seems to be a modification I don´t think it it original to this machines (also a guess). I hope I can take a look at the machine around Pentecost. Haven´t though of a trimmer but that could explain the modified plates. New plates and feed dog are avail. from College Sewing. The plate indeed are the same size as for the 45K but I´m not sure if the cut out is the same. Patria, I have not sewn with a 132K6 but I think 8-10mm thickness should be possible.
  12. This is the 2nd 45K I see with this modification. Approx 2 or 3 years ago I saw one in Germany but at that time I had no money and it was a bit out of my driving range (meanwhile I drive further). As Matt said, the stitch length lever is lend from a Adler 4 /5 though not sure if Singer probably produced (or modified) a small range of 45K machines with this lever. At that time I assumed someone (maybe a dealer?) once modified the machine for a customer but now that I see another one... not sure. But due to the production date I´d rather say it is a customer / dealer modification. Not sure when Singer produced the first 45K´s with reverse but I don´t think that was in 1915 already but who knows.
  13. Does someone have information about this Singer 132K SV 11? To me it looks like a 132K6 variant but with (I guess) on/off for the top feed mechnism. I at least have no other explanation for the "device" on the backside (note lever left of top feed mechanism).
  14. http://www.ronsew.com/hook-driving-pinion-thrush-washer-singer-111g-111w-211g-211u-211w-112w115/ Or check with Toledo Sewing Machines or Keysew.com
  15. Interesting PDF - any chance you have the whole catalog as PDF. Thanks again Eric. Folders are on hold.
  16. If someone wants one (or all) I´d say $15 each + shipping is fair. If so please send a PM. Thanks Eric!
  17. Haven´t even thought of "plain" handles - I was thinking of "tear drop" shaped handles with an insert of some kind... okay - got it... How much would cost they new? I have no use for them and would sell them if someone is interested.
  18. I once got these folders with an old Adler 4 machine (long time gone) and since that day they "rest" in a dusty drawer. I haven´t seen folders of this size ever before. I have no clue how to use them as I´m not making any handles or the like. Maybe another "devices" is needed for an inlay for the handles... I honestly don´t know so maybe someone can ID them and probably has use for them. One has a paper tag reading "Taschenhenkel alte Adler Masch." meaning "bag handle old Adler machine"... On the other side the name of the saddler is printed but seems this sadder no longer exists. These folder are really big. One picture shows the smaller folder in comparison with a Adler 69 / Pfaff 335 binder so you see they are really big. I cannot use them....
  19. it is completely deleted, this was the ebay number 222465889593. I asked the seller if he has a 1 phase 220V version and shortly after that the listing was gone. This was the seller: http://www.ebay.com/sch/bemrich61391gfh/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=
  20. it´s gone... what was that....?
  21. shipping is world wide so if you have 110V... I live in 220V country so nothing for me (wondering if the is a small 110V to 220V switch inside...)
  22. Well, I do not evaluate the seller or the offer - I just found it randomly: http://www.ebay.de/itm/NEW-Genuine-CONSEW-SERVO-MOTOR-CSM1000-FOR-INDUSTRIAL-SEWING-CS1000-3-4HP-/222465889593?hash=item33cc001539:g:X~EAAOSw~OdVX1Zo Just thought it could be a good deal - he is taking paypal so purchase should be protected.
  23. aaaah - I see... havent noticed the masking tape
  24. Once had one of these - nice little machines for light leather work. Your has a Singer 29K treadle base. Machine has no reverse and sews well with #96 thread - haven´t tried any thicker back then. I had mine set up for 135x17 needles but standard is the 16x2 / 16x1 needle. Hooks, Bobbins and some other parts are stil available - some parts form other machine like Singer 16 could fit as well.
