Two front fork bags I completed. First one is for a 12" wide glide Harley front end. The second one is for the narrow forks, as shown on my wife's Sportster. 10oz. latigo body/ 5-6 oz. gussets. Tim

hey gang..this is a leather jacket patch that I made a while back. It is for my own jacket, but is not yet stitched on. ( I cannot sell items like this due to the Harley trademark) It is a large patch, 11" x 14". I used my trusty Paasche "H" model airbrush that I have had for over 20 years. The design was transferred to the leather using an opaque projector in a darked room. If you have never tried this form of pattern transfer, it an excellent way of keeping everything proportionate. I cheated a little and stitched a Harley cloth patch to the leather eagle, instead of hand lettering. I don't do much airbrushing anymore....just too busy with production work. Just thought I would post this, as it is something a little different. Tim

I compared machines before making a purchase, and considered the 440R. The 440R is not a walking foot machine, and I didn't want a bottom feed or jump foot only. Your leather will feed more smoothly and evenly with a walking foot, a big thing to consider. For a little more money I went with the the Artisan 3000. It is truely a great machine to work with. I would recommend the Artisan. Good luck ! Tim

Hey Matt....the other"Wolf" here in north GA. You should check www.wowmotorcycles.com They are not far from you, ...in Marietta GA. There are a few Magna's lsted, as well as many other cruisers with photos/details. I go there occasionally to take measurements for my leather tank panels. Good luck on your search. Tim

Nice job, I like it! What is the red skull liner made from?....that is especially awesome! Tim -
Alessandro, I have been using a single action airbrush for many years. Paasche Model H . It is very easy to use and is low priced. The needle and tip can be changed with three different sizes for a small or large spray pattern. Please see my other posts, the art work you will see was done with that model airbrush. Most art supply stores stock it. Good luck! Tim

Randy, Glad to see you here. Sounds like you are one busy person! We look forward to seeing your work! Tim

making a light box to trace patterns
TimberWolf replied to Dragons Pearl's topic in Patterns and Templates
I have used ready made projectors in the past and work great. Not sure how big your original pattern to be projected is, but you might want to do an online search for "opaque projectors" from art supply stores. The smaller ones start around $35. Try www.dickblick.com Tim -
Thanks for the kind words... The braid is just a double loop or Cordovan, using 1/8th Superior lace.

Thank you, Ken!

Completed this fender bib recently. It fits a Harley Davidson Road King with a solo seat. This one wasn't an order, just felt like doing something a little different. Most of the fender bibs I make are black. chrome spots, etc. After a while the same trim gets boring! Decided to go with a braided edge and a geometric border. The horse hair dangles seemed to got with the overall look. On the right paint job, it should look cool. Tim

Dan, great job on the flasks! are the flasks more of a collectible "put on a shelf" item, or do your customers actually use them? Just curious....Tim

Hey all, completed my first pair of saddle bags with my new Artisian 3000 today! I am still getting used to the machine, so I thought I would use a less expensive brown oil tan leather for the bags, and keep them on the plain side. The bags don't really go with my black saddle, but that's OK,....will sell them on ebay. My mare "Sheerah" helped me out with the photos. The last photo is thrown in for good measure...it is Tami, my wife, and I on a Labor Day trail ride here in north Georgia, and of course our horses, "Sheerah" and "Rowdy". Tim

Here are a couple knife sheaths I completed recently. Both fit a Buck 110. I make an lid style in the first photo, and an open top in the second. The first photo is a saddle oil finish, the second is a burnished British Tan and saddle oil. I have some other trim/color options that I want to try. Will post as I get 'em made.
