  1. When it was first posted there was a link to the pattern, but it was at their etsy store. Bert.
  2. Do you have a copy of the manual for it? When I have top thread breaking it means I have the top threading wrong, maybe a picture of your threading of the top thread would help to comment on your problem. Bert.
  3. Australia is a big country and it would help if I knew which state you where in, for example, if you where in Melbourne I would tell you to have a look at Leffler's, https://www.leffler.com.au/ Maybe be if others will tell you where to look in other states. Bert.
  4. Very nice, looks like it would look right at home at my place. Nearly to good to use. Bert.
  5. @RockyAussie That might work, if I did not have a 29K58 sitting in the lounge room under it pretty cover I made for it as she said it did not look right sitting next to the TV. Personally I can't see a problem, bad I need to keep he some what happy, she cooks yummy food when she's happy and after 50 plus years I know where and how my bread is buttered.. I don't own a servo motor, I have no problems with the old clutch motors. Bert
  6. I was looking at a nice post machine and the wife said, "Okay, how much dust does that collect" Her way of saying am I going to use it or just collect another one. I must admit I have been a little slack the last 12 months. Bert.
  7. @Handstitched I really hope you are not holding your breather waiting. You have already said it, one of my favourite quotes. I have one here, but it will not be getting put out to the kerbside, any time. Bert.
  8. @toxo I found it easy, I had a shaft with a thread on one end and two bearings, put a pulley between them. Screwed the disk on one end, my friend already had the the belt sander pulleys, just had to make the mount on the idler pulley adjustable. Made a frame out of some old steel we had, mounted the motor so it lined up with the pulley on the shaft and used an old treadle I had from industrial table and using the clutch you can vary the speed of the sander as needed. Bert.
  9. I made a disk sander and belt sander on a shaft for a friend, I used a treadle and when he uses it he just uses the treadle and it's safe if he's not pushing down on the treadle. Bert.
  10. Thanks Matt, I thought EmilK would have seen the 104 and 105 listed and got both manuals. Bert.
  11. That is what I call a tradesman, a very clever person using no modern tools. Bert.
  12. You might find something here. http://sew24.blogspot.com/p/downloads.html Bert.
  13. Looking at the video of the grinder being used, I think that will do what you need it to do, not much will get missed. Bert.
  14. Could be several things wrong, but you need to check that the machine has not been knocked and bent a shaft, that can be done with a dial gauge on the hand/belt pulley or looking at something underneath bent or rubbing or over tight. Take your time check and oil all moving parts. Bert.
  15. Thanks for the idea Spyros, I like it and I just happen to have one or two old sewing machine motors laying around not being used. Bert.
  16. Wow, I thought she may have seen the account balance after buying the new toy Sadly I am unable to give blood or donate my organs, I wish I could but I hope other people do. I'm pleased she is okay, that's the main thing. You can start on it again tomorrow. Bert.
  17. Having the ability to change layout of the pulley's makes me think you will need to think carefully about what you want before building an extraction system for it, maybe an adjustable suction funnel like under the rest might be the go. Bert.
  18. Wow @dikman I just watched the video of your new toy and I like it, I have played with a belt sander before , but never seen any thing like that. I will make a real nice knife. Where I used to work we had the little vacuum dust meters that I had to where for a full shift, but they where sent off to a lab to be analyzed, that Spyros put the link up for looks like it would give you all you need. We have a scrap metal dealer in town and he was only to happy to sell me tubing and anything else I could find, I found it cheap and he was getting better then scrap prices. Bert.
  19. I have a little bit of time playing with cyclones (wet and dry) and the last one and piping came from a scrap yard, maybe a quick look at your local scrap yard may find some cheaper bit and pieces. Just a thought. Bert.
  20. I am think about the dust collection also Brian, I think some thing similar to yours would work well. Brian, do you have a cyclone or just a bag? Sadly I have been told no more toys, until I start using what I have. Bert.
  21. Wow, what size belt do you have there. Envious is one word I can think of, Very ENVIOUS in fact. Bert.
  22. There are some very knowledgeable people on this forum. Thank you all. Bert.
  23. Talking of knifes, I have a pair of knife issued to me in 1971 with the D of D Crows Foot on them, they where possibly 20 years old when I got them, new old stock and the are mild steel. They are a pain to keep nice and shiny, but hold the best edge of any of the knives I have had since, yeah, I still have them, put away in a save place in there sheaths. They are the original reason I started playing with leather. Bert.
  24. It is a bit hard to judge from your photo, but it looks like what I have on my 132K6 and they appear to use the same needle plate and feed dogs. Do you have a parts manual or manual for your 132K7? You might find that useful. Bert.
  25. As usual Brian you show how you make beautiful purses or handbags and this is what you do for a living. Thank you. Bert.
