  4. Hi, i have just bought a pfaff 335 17B H2S , this is the manual that i have been using. Great machine, just toooooo fast, i am trying to get a servo motor for it. It uses the 134-35 needle system. At the moment i have a size 22 needle in it and using 138 size thread. My bobbin measures 22mm in diameter and 9mm wide cheers ba_335_06-09_e.pdf

  6. I have used the "paint and wipe off" over black and it gives a nice result...in your case a copper paint would be nice.

  9. hi tate, the top layer of croc embossed is quite thin, probably about 1-2mm but because it is embossed it is a bit stiff. The lining is sheep skin, which is thin as well. cheers
  10. wscott, to cover the snap top, you need to cut a piece of leather large enough so it will cover the snap head and fold over the edge and stick to the underside but not all the way to the stem. The leather needs to be thin to start with and then skive the edges even more. The snap will be easier to handle if you use one of those thin wooden stirrers you get in coffee shops. Push it into the stem and then you can use this to hold the snap. Cover the back of the leather in a strong glue and stick to the top of the snap. Now put the snap in the palm of your hand and cup your hand to curve the leather around the edge of the snap. Now put it down and use a modelling tool to get the rest of the leather to stick to the underside of the snap. All finished ... when you attach the top of the snap to its mate, the leather will be held in place. This won't work with thick leather...it must be thin!! cheers caroline
  11. Here is a sleeve i made for my new macbook air 11inch. The outer layer is croc embossed leather and the lining is a soft black leather. Lacing is roo and i also covered the snap with leather. Thanks for looking cheers
  12. Can anyone give me some information on this machine? I believe it is unison feed...is this the same as compound feed? I have a singer 45k25, and it works great with a size 25 needle, but if i go down to a 22 needle, i am getting skipped stitches and broken needles. I notice that if i am putting any pressure on the leather the needle is flexing a bit and i think this is the problem. The pfaff is for sale just up the road from me and i was thinking of having a look at it. Would this be suitable for using with the smaller needles and thinner leather? I have googled the 335 model and watched the youtube vids on it but i dont know what the 17b.H2S means. If i go and look at it, what problems should i be looking for? I have been looking for a walking foot...compound feed machine but the prices in Oz are a bit ridiculous and this machine would be in my price range and it is a cyclinder model which i like and find very versatile. Thanks for any help!! cheers

I was happy when it was finished, but wasn't so happy when i went to try it on...guess who picked up the wrong size blank?? me!!!!...it doesn't fit!!! I can't get it on!!!!

    Mask Ties

i have always used a double strand of thin round elastic. It holds the mask comfortably and the elastic can hide under the hair. Most women dont want something sitting on top of the hair...ruins the hairdo...lol. I have two small holes about 1cm apart on either side of the mask and thread the elastic through. This way each bit of elastic can be positioned high and low on the head and the mask is held more securely without having to tie something tight. cheers
  25. I think they are great and the colors are wonderful. The sea sponge is a great tool, i recently used one to give a wood effect. cheers
