  1. What is the difference between an Adler 205-370 and a 205-374?
  2. What is the weight of the leather in the pic?
  3. But you still need a heater! ;-)
  4. Bury it in potato starch and this will remove some oil.
  5. You need to insulate and heat your workspace - or - move inside to your living quarters!
  6. The French are not too eager to learn english! :-)
  7. I built a spraybox out of plywood with a kitchen fan on top and a vent.hose out through the wall
  8. Maybe wetting the whole saddle, saddle soap and a lot of water, then oxalic acid when it is dry, is a solution to get rid of the water stains? I would try that before I added oil and conditioners to the leather. Water does not damage the leather ! my 2 cents / Knut
  9. Using an ozone generator is a very bad idea as it makes the leather to dry rot very fast !!! / Knut
  10. A bottle holster ?? / Knut
  11. Yes, I sold it to a friend who has nine horses and he had a Morgan cross that fit the saddle.
  12. I bought the Laporte tree just to check it out. It had too much rock and was too narrow in the gullet, so I sold the saddle when it was finished. The groundseat had a good shape.
  13. I have built a saddle on a Laporte tree, and in my opinion the bars have too much rock .
  14. Is it built on a Laporte tree? BTW a fine well made saddle! / Knut
  15. Is the scale metric or inches? The mark looks like a tassel. Never seen it on a European tool- so far.
  16. I´d suggest that you send mr Richard Sherer, Sherer Custom saddles, a mail. Mr Sherer has restored a lot of fine old saddles and he might have a clue. My two cents / Knut
  17. Amazing work!
  18. Dip dying, that´s same as drowning, huh? :-) Made my day too, Matt! Thank´s! / Knut
  19. Looking forward for your visit, Cheryl ! " Special price for you, my friend!" :-) / Knut
  20. OMG! At first I thought the leather froze to death !
  21. Cheryl, the Boss is still for sale! ;-) / Knut
  22. I added a cast iron Boss to my machinery, a bottom fed Singer 45 and a Juki 563, and I have sewn a pile of leather on it. A couple of years ago I stumbled on an Adler 205-374 with a Rotan Quick Stop motor with a needle positioning device, and it made my day!. From that day my Boss has been idle, collecting dust. I have been thinking of selling it, but it will be a tough separation. Before I found the cast iron Boss I have had two Aluminium Boss machines ( IMHO junk) , both of them broke down several times, a lot of trouble and spent time. To be true, I don´t think you really need it
  23. The will grow the pork in a lab so the little pig is saved! :-)
  24. Snyggt jobbat, Edvin! dessutom en smart design ! Beautiful work and a smart design! / Knut
  25. I built the Stohlman stand and raised it 2" at the back end and it seems to level the tree / Knut
