  1. Mount it upside down to stitch the underside of things?
  2. Just run the blooming thing backwards so's it makes a stitching groove as you go.
  3. Sorry, I just couldn't help it after reading Jordan's post. (pic is copyright of double you double you double you dot minutus dot net)
  4. Disclaimer from the link above: Note: You will need to check your country's laws before ordering this item. If you order this item we will be glad to ship it to you but we can not be held responsible if it is confiscated by your county's customs office. I can't help but wonder if you send them a payment, they send you an email saying they tried to ship to you but your shipment was confiscated. Fully forged legal documents showing shipment and confiscation will be available to you for a modest handling and legal fee. 5. Yes, Davy, those of us not from Australia have heard of it, and it is popular for the reasons you've listed. Tandy (tandyleatherfactory.com) sells it.
  6. One of our members, when making holsters, does all the assembly then takes the edges of the leather to a belt sander. I think it's BOOMSTICKholsters that does that. Anyway, the idea is get it all together, and instead of worrying about an edge lining up, remove excess so that it does. Incidentally, I seem to recall that he allows a little extra on the edges during assembly because he's going to sand it.
  7. Howdy and to Leatherworker.net! You've asked a question that will have almost as many answers as members!!!! In fact, we had a rather lengthy discussion about it ...Click me to read it. Hopefully that will answer a good bit of the question, and you can expect other answers on this thread.
  8. Welcome to Leatherworker.net!!!! You have found the absolute best site on the entire web. And, you even included a really great pic in your intro...BONUS POINTS!!! We've got several members here from down under, and I'm sure they'll chime in soon. That piece you've included is magnificent! I'll make room for all the other replies now, Mike
  9. Despite whatever we might do, getting other country's Law Enforcement to get involved with the DMCA isn't always going to be easy. For terrorists, sure, it gives LEO's a place to start, but for stolen web pics? They'll smile, say 'we'll get right on it' and that's the end of it, unless there's some major money behind the complaint (Think Record Labels vs. Napster).
  10. For IWBs you'll do fine with the single shoulder's that Tandy perpetually has on sale. They're affordable and will give you some practice and experience before you start buying large pieces.
  11. Obtain 1 veterinarian's syringe, minus the needle. (or any of them really, but Vets' syringes are available in size 'BIG') Add Gel antique and presto you've an antique gel pen.....or gel antique pen. You can even cap it. Or...if you choose to thin the mix, keep the needle, but break the tip off to that you've got a fine tube. Now you have the solution to it getting everywhere else. And antiquing the dog does not make him look old enough to get into pubs with you.
  12. Diet Pepsi. I can't process the alchohol very well, so I don't try to.
  13. Shameful, Jordan!!!!! Preying on their vanity like that.........
  14. Well, half the dang problem is the saying they're all so proud of: "Everything's bigger in Texas". If it wasn't for that, they could've just had a regular little hurricane.
  15. I got word that Tuscaloosa county in Alabama is OUT. That's county wide. Governor of 'Bama has declared State of Emergency to keep the price gouging down. I suspect it's looking ugly in other places too.
  16. If you don't think the posts are long enough, you can skive a little under the snap- preferrably on the side that will be hidden- to create a little more space. Wetting it (a little) can help you compress it, too.
  17. Nice work Alex. I'm wondering if a second belt loop might make it carry better...on the next one of course.
  18. ¿Lo ha buscado usted en el sitio Web de Tandy?
  19. One thing I haven't seen mentioned yet, and it really should be examined: Is this image copyrighted? We had a pretty long thread about copyright infringement a while back, and it's worth reviewing if you missed it. I've seen the image on lots of trucks on the road, and every time, it's been on an accessory for that truck. That means the copyright probably belongs to the company that supplies these accessories. Do take the time to check into it before proceeding with the design, just to be sure you don't step on somebody's toes.
  20. I wonder if annealing the needles would do any good.
  21. Hi and Welcome to Leatherworker.net! There's lots of different styles of watch bands, and we'll be glad to help you figure out what you need. Could you give us an idea of what type of band you want to make? Thin, thick, sewn, laced, stamped....these are things that will help us guide you in your effort.
  22. Um, Windy, the ends are stitched. The wallet is opened in the middle to show the lining. It's turned 90 degrees, too. The top right corner of the 'open' pic is the top left corner of the wallet when it's opened.
  23. Yeah, and digital signals are easier to fiddle with, you know, sneaking in subliminal messages. I'm just wondering why the GOVERNMENT has made it a law that things have to be digital. What's wrong with analog? Okay, now that I've said that, flame away.
  24. About the only thing I can think of to discourage pic stealing is to print lettering across it. Of course, with the right software, and 18.847509 seconds, the lettering can be removed too. I agree with Johanna, if an image displays, it's copyable.
