I think it might be time to mix up some of my Space Invaders. Equal parts 151, pineapple juice, and enough lime to make a tart statement. You taste sweet on the lips, tart on the tongue, and then the 151 sears your throat on the way down. Plus, with all the citrus, it glows in blacklight. You can also make it with Aftershock....but be warned. For the holidays, "Cherry Bombs". 1 jar marachino cherries, pour out half the juice, refill with goldschlager, let sit for 3 months. Yes, Davy, those of us not from Australia have heard of it, and it is popular for the reasons you've listed. Tandy (tandyleatherfactory.com) sells it.

One of our members, when making holsters, does all the assembly then takes the edges of the leather to a belt sander. I think it's BOOMSTICKholsters that does that. Anyway, the idea is get it all together, and instead of worrying about an edge lining up, remove excess so that it does. Incidentally, I seem to recall that he allows a little extra on the edges during assembly because he's going to sand it.

Despite whatever we might do, getting other country's Law Enforcement to get involved with the DMCA isn't always going to be easy. I got word that Tuscaloosa county in Alabama is OUT. That's county wide. Governor of 'Bama has declared State of Emergency to keep the price gouging down. I suspect it's looking ugly in other places too.

If you don't think the posts are long enough, you can skive a little under the snap- preferrably on the side that will be hidden- to create a little more space. Wetting it (a little) can help you compress it, too.

One thing I haven't seen mentioned yet, and it really should be examined: Is this image copyrighted? We had a pretty long thread about copyright infringement a while back, and it's worth reviewing if you missed it. I've seen the image on lots of trucks on the road, and every time, it's been on an accessory for that truck. That means the copyright probably belongs to the company that supplies these accessories. Do take the time to check into it before proceeding with the design, just to be sure you don't step on somebody's toes.

I wonder if annealing the needles would do any good.

Could you give us an idea of what type of band you want to make? Thin, thick, sewn, laced, stamped....these are things that will help us guide you in your effort.

Um, Windy, the ends are stitched. The wallet is opened in the middle to show the lining. It's turned 90 degrees, too. The top right corner of the 'open' pic is the top left corner of the wallet when it's opened.
