  1. I Löööve it:-) The color i fab and the design verry classy...Maybe making a tutorial about the coloring
  2. Good tip and good thinking:-)
  3. Where is it, where is it?? I'm highly interested in seeing the work of someone who is great with that! Rod and Denise= Hellbent for leather?? Hard to remember all names, this site is growing I think. Tom I touched them The big flat "bowl" even had super nice pattern at the bottom, the teapot a favvo:-) Jag tor med 99% att jag varit och besökt "din pappersfabrik" När jag jobbade för Arla var vi upp mot Gävletrakten för tertapack hade en pappersfabrik där...Detta är sådär 15 år sedan:-)
  4. My ordinary job is to operate the steam drying section of a papermachine. We pump out volumes up to 1000 tons (that's 14000 trees) of carton board per day 24/7. The stuff we sell to China comes back if there is slightest little problem with it. I tiny dot in the print of a carton box is making them see red. Putting dangerous chemicals in the milk they put in the box seem to be a smaller problem! Lillebror...Are you making the paper rolls to the milk boxes in Sweden too???
  5. I'm just working myself through this pattern and ontop I ended up with a piece of leather that I think has been wet before (?) I'ts hard as a rock in some places and "curl up" very easy *Grrrrrrrrrrrr* What ClayB tutorial are you refering too? Please, paste in a link if you have one:-)
  6. Non... I just ran out of the light line pen:-)
  7. Hej Lillebror, kul att du gillar väskan...Jag ska se till att få hem dessa claspar till Sverige oxo, vi behöver ha lite roliga prylar med. Jag har hittat ett ställe som har fler färger, även svart eloxerat:-) It's an Al Stohlman purse, I made it smaller and changed the rose pattern on it, I like it better like this. I think that the total way of making this purse could be changed too, I'll try it the next time I make it.
  8. Here's a carving pattern I drew this weekend. It is made to fit the purse in Al Stohlmans book "How to carve leather" (I enclose a photo of the book). In the book is 4 patterns I think page 15, 17, 19 something, this is my version of it. In the cirkle there could be an animal, initials or a full name? I prefer carving and tooling all the acorns but one of the craftools can be used. Good luck and don't forgett...If you use it post a picture here somewhere on LW, we all love photos:-) Have a great Columbus day//Tina
  9. Geezzz Kate :-) I think that I'm just so very happy to have come across this medium. I've tried so many different crafts all my life but this time it seams to fit. I love doing sculpture and i love to paint but both is lacking something and...Veg Tan Leather has some of both
  10. Your welcome, It's always a pleassure to inspire someone else:-)
  11. Btw Johanna, Remeber what we talked about join in a comp. in Indiana next year? Help figure a good item out, then at least we'll not have to get something going at the last minute:-) Have a beautiful weekend//T Thanks mudman, always appreciated:-)
  12. Try to get your hands on a Weaver catalog. All rings etc is meassured on the inside but Weaver has the thickness of the material in the description so it's just to add it all up.
  13. Clay, Well, I get these cool template of purses from Ebay and just have to try them out, I love making purses (but hardly use any myself *hmmm*?) I think I have around 10 different ones and I'm probably going to try most of them, just because you know:-) Johanna Gotcha:-) ... I'm so glad you both like'm, Thanks:-)

    mask...weird result

Now, I actually like this mask and the idea behind...Stop punishing yourself Roo:-) My only objection might be the photo and the background, it takes away from the wonderful vivid colors.
  15. Thanks Kate, I'm trying to surprice but think I do surprice myself more than anything...A year ago I didnt know that I would even do such stuff with leather, or even that it was possible without going to shool or something. I have to give LW a whole truckloads of credit, I have learned so much and all from the members here and got so much pep talk, Thanks all for sharing your knollage:-)
  16. So Happy you all like it, Thanks:-) This one tock for ever to make. The suede is really soft but...It's a drag to keep clean, it's sucks every little thing into it like a hoover *grrrr* I'm personally not a rose person but this was what was asked for by the new owner. It is a modified old Stohlman pattern that I adopted to the this purse. wildrose My favvo clasp too:-) I have found a place with like 5 different colors on the smal one, I need to inquire how one can get some from them. Hi Jim I would love to take this to a show but...I't going out of the house and down to Florida within a few days. Let's see what can be made until spring...Wrecking my brain:-)
  17. Oki, I did put up some sneak peak pictures of this pattern earlier on and I finishe it of today. The pattern is dyed then I added so antiqing on top. it's lined with beige pig suede.
  18. I have to confess... I utterly missed the first one in Columbus, it's a favvo absolute. If I ever get that kind of style bike I Know where to go and get me a cool seat,
  19. Super nice work on the lacing. I love the details you're having on the back too, makes it special:-)
  20. Really nice cigarr cases, I always wonderd how they where made...Now I might dare to try it out for husband:-)

  22. Tina

    do you like my cat?

I Love the cat, it's very creative:-)
  23. I agree, it was really nice meeting you too:-) The lace (which I love) I bought from Ebay, a very old stock from some New York companny that doesnt excist anymore, or I can not find it on the net...If you want the name 'knock' cuz I'm to lacy to run upstairs right now. When it came it was quite fragile but after using some nice products on there they came out great...Thinner but yet stronger than the calf lace you'll find today. So, when this stock is gone...it's gone Yeah I did dye the lace. The background color I used on the holster (Angelus "Blue Jean" spirit dye) I just tossed some lace into the bottle for a while and when dry had some neetfoot oil to get it into the right "mood" again It kind'a works. Hope this helps some:-)
