  1. Oooooo now I want one! I like it! Show us the next one when its done. YinTx
  2. Lots of goodies... up to the imagination, I would say. YinTx
  3. Thanks. I used Fiebeng's Pro Resist. Heh, hadn't thought of that. None of mine have died yet tho... even the one that got soaked in water... Appreciate that. I've used it a few times, no issue yet. Thanks. This was actually made for a skillet called an Ebelskiver, which has a very wide handle. I put it on the large skillet because I figure most folks don't have an Ebelskiver. I have one made out of heavy suede I've been using for some time now, looks as good as the day I made it, no grease stains, etc. and it has worked well. Trick is, put it on, use it, take it off. They both hold firm, no worries about rotating skillets, etc. Of course, if you have a full on 10" deep frying skillet filled up, I don't think I'd be wanting to pick it up and move it around without oven mitts. 4. Thanks, but I can't take credit for the idea. Saw a set floating around these pages just the other day, and I think his came out nicer, simply because there wasn't any tooling and it just matched nicer. But, mine still is functional! YinTx
  5. Oh... folks buy that stuff??? and here I've been cuttin it up to use as glue spreaders... YinTx
  6. Awesome. One of my favorite color combos - red and black. Unless that's pink... even then, I like it. YinTx
  7. Was messing around trying different dye/resist/antique techniques, and ended up with this. 2 birds, one stone! YinTx
  8. Hah! I thought it was your work as well, the style and effect is so similar to the work you do! Likewise, look forward to seeing the end result! YinTx
  9. Wow, I instantly thought of the cloth wheel grabbing that blade out of the skiver and slinging it across the room. Scary method. They make safety blade holders that you could use to more firmly grip it. I have just recently started using my safety skiver again, and I do just drag mine across the strop board in the holder. Would like to find better quality, so will try the link provided for that. Thanks! YinTx
  10. Hey, you have a display, a lot more than I can say for myself! Nicely done. and it looks great to boot, with awesome art. YinTx
  11. Those came out great. What did you use that resulted in such a successful resist? YinTx
  12. Try Abbey England, they may have what you are looking for. YinTx

That is incredible. I love how you did that. I don't have any of that leather, but maybe in the future. I want a holster of my own just like that, lol. I have stored it in my inspirational file. Thanks so much for the details! YinTx

These are fantastic! Can you share the color combination you used for dye/antique? YinTx
  15. That is a really cool chair, and the leather looks like it is in good shape with a nice patina. If it is veg tan, and depending on the finish, it might take a dye. Maybe pick a dye like mahogany, or burgundy, or some similar dark dye to match the wine stain? If you are planning on tossing the leather anyhow, might be worth a go. Then put some neatsfoot, and a finish on it, see how it comes out. Otherwise, would be pretty simple to use the existing for a template and go from there. Nice find! Look forward to seeing what you do with it. YinTx
  16. Brilliant. All of these items look fantastic! thanks for sharing! YinTx
  17. https://factorysanta.thebase.in/items/8366986 not sure if this helps you or not... YinTx
  18. Better? Dang near perfection already, thank you. YinTx

  20. Spot on work. Love the curves on the sheath. YinTx
  21. I'd say you nailed it. I've been trying to use edge paint for years now and still not happy with it! I've posted plenty of things, your card wallet is better and deserves to shine! YinTx
  22. These really did come out clean. I was all proud, I just last night finished up a similar wallet in Whiskey Wickett and Craig, was all ready to post in the show off section, then I saw yours. I'll just keep practicin before I show off, lol. YinTx
  23. Rita or Ritza? Because it didn't look like a flat braid poly Ritza thread from your photos. YinTx
  24. Fantastic thread, and stitching! What is it (the thread)? Also, absolutely awesome work on the border stamping, looks like a serious combination of tools perfectly laid out, unless you had that thing made... YinTx
  25. These are nicely done! YinTx
