Kit: 444475-03 Kit: 444475-04 Thanks for looking!

  9. Unfortunately, this is not a new drug mixture on the westcoast. It does impact all families and will claim many lives in its path as it travels through the US. Snoop, surveil and search your kids and their bedrooms caldenstinely, of course. But as a former DARE officer from its inception at LAPD, I make sure my kids know that this unacceptable and my invovlement may not prevent it, but at the very least shows that I care for their safety! Like the song says, "Eyes wide open!" Good luck!!
  10. Agree! Welcome to the forum and good luck!
  11. Welcome to the Forum! I believe there is a Bush International Airport in Houston as well. I don't live there, but I believed I have flown in/out of there a couple of times, many years ago. Good luck.
  12. No, not really. I see on ebay and always watching very items such as the Tippman Boss. I have seen them go for as low as 700 and the highest one (just the machine) went for $980. One Boss with a ton of accessories just sold about 1.5 weeks ago sold for $1150. It just depends how who is selling when it closes. A good deal, if there is such an animal, can be found on eBay, but you have to be patience and keep looking. Keep looking, but I would look here because I have seen quite a few members selling their machines (for whatever reason). Sometimes you have to continue looking when you see that someone wants "full" price for a used machine? I don't get it.
  13. Yes they are. No website, but Mrs. Gore is very nice. She just sent me two catalogs for our Guild Library. I own a few Gore tools.....ranked way up there. Good luck.
  14. before you sell, would you mind selling me a "kit" to make me one for a 7 5/8" melon? Or I can offer you $100 for the set?
  15. Hobby Lobby has those little mixing cups; buy some and try it out by mixing some and working out a scrap of leather. You can pick up a glass dropper at your local pharmacy, walmart, etc. Good luck.
  16. Dude, there were two for sale yesterday evening by members on here. Look around.
  17. Welcome to the forum! Very nice work. Keep sharing.
  18. He actually speaks 28 languages. If I could suggest something. Center all of your Craftaids with a broken line, on the top with a Sharpie; it would easier when centering them on your leather. Good luck!
  19. The Longhorn Trail Leather Guild located in Austin (Central) Texas held their monthly meeting last night. Besides the business aspect of the meeting, we had the priviledge of having one of our own members Alexis and her apprencetice Jason put on a demonstration on 'Suits of Armor." Alexis is a graphic designer for a major video game maker by day and Renaissance fan by night. Alexis is a self taught leather worker for specific arena of leather work. Alexis got involved in this type of suit building after doing a "cold call" on a well known renaissance artist here in the Austin area. She kept asking for his help in teaching her to build these suits, but he hesitated until she saw his website. Due to her regular job, she was able to find the flaws on this website and presenting the artist with a plan to revamp his website in exchange for an apprencticeship. They are still friends and consult with each other on different projects. Alexis and her instructor will have a booth at this year's Austin area "Sherwood Forest Faire (http://www.sherwoodforestfaire.com/). I have attached just a few photographs of her demo and her lesson on how to make a basic arm bracer. Alexis provided those in attendance with a signature pattern for an arm bracer. She has allowed me to share it with those here on 'Leather worker' with the agreement that this pattern be used for personal use only and not to be sold as a product. Note: Just in case you caught it (Galdiator fans); the white suit is Marcus Aurelis' suit of armor depicted in the movie. We are planning on putting up a video on the demonstration, as well as, a photo album for this session. Alexis provided the guild with a full size basic set of patterns for a suit. The guild hasn't decided if we will offer these patterns for sale in "full size," but we are considering it for all interested (at cost plus shipping). Stay tuned to our leather guild website! Next month: How to use a round and head knife with hands-on demonstration and possibly a website tutorial. Thanks for looking ~ King's X, 2010 Guild President
  20. Just wanted to drop a line that I spoke with Mrs. Lana Smith today. Apparently, she and Mr. Chuck Smith were involved in a freeway accident in California during bad weather. The vehicle was hit twice and totalled, but they are recovering. They didn't ask, but if you are a previous customer of theres and know how kind and giving this family is to the leather world, please send them a get well email. OlSmoothie@sbcglobal.net I am sure that they would like to hear that we on Leather Worker are thinging about them and hope for speedy recovery! Blame it on me if you have too!
