  1. Yes, Arturo, I have been to the store in FTW. It is a small, but very well organized store. They have a much different selection than Tandys. I received my order from HC just the other day and of course, I am missing some things, but since I ordered out of the stock number listing without pictures, I purchased some duplicates. Some of our guild members want to go to HC on a Saturday where I am sure I will spend a whole bunch of money, but with my returns I should save about 8 bucks, haha. I will be taking my guild members by the Al Stohlman museum to let them see his work up front. It has some amazing stuff there. I will let you guys/gals know about the catalog news.
  2. Welcome to the Forum! Enjoy yourself and learn alot. Greetings from Round Rock, Texas
  3. AK Good luck, would you consider a group sale over LWKR? What is your going price for a set since it shows you have at least 10 each? PM me later and I can let you know. Appreciate the heads up. Greetings from Round Rock, Texas

    Using a maul

Skip I own a BK tapered maul and Mark V (Reg) maul. I found (my opinion) when I use my BK maul, I really don't need to watch where my elbow is positioned, but when I use my Mark V, I have to make sure that my elblow is up and parallel with the tool. It is what I teach in my basic carving class and what was taught to me. Try it out? Greetings from Round Rock, Texas
  5. Damn brother you are getting good. I am going to have you put on some classes for the guild if you keep this up. The lacing is look better and better. Greetings from Round Rock, Texas

    Tandy

I am down to my last quart and using sparingly. I can recall someone here offereing a "recipe" of sorts for making your own "Neat-Lac" but I have seen it in a while. The thread mentioned something about "rubberbands?" I will have to keep that "Deft" in mind later, I appreciate the heads up. Greetings from Round Rock, Texas ~ Remember: Stop & Strop! ~
  12. Thanks...I thought so, but I thought that I would check. Greetings from Round Rock, Texas
  13. Hey all I read the thread and just wanted to put it out that I have a brand spanking new one that was given to me for Christmas. Problem is that I already have one, so I don't need this one. If anyone is interested, I would be willing to make a good deal. I am just going to buy another pattern book that I don't have. Thanks. Greetings from Round Rock, Texas
  14. I am working on a medium size purse for the spousal unit and she wanted a picture of our Boston Terrier centered on the design. So, I am at the point where I would dress with Neat Lac. My question is when do I paint the dog's picture? Now or after the neat lac? Any help would be most appreciated. Greetings from Round Rock, Texas
  15. I just placed an order with Betty at Hidecrafters today. She told me that the new catalog and website will be out in about a week or two. She also said that they are going to an online order website, cool. Also, check out the site, they have updated the "old" catalog. It is the same but they went through it and placed discontinued labels on a log of products. Until next time, remember: Stop and Strop! Greetings from Round Rock, Texas
  16. Joanna: I am working on a fundraiser for our guild that hopefully will kick something back to Leatherworker.net. More to follow on this to get your permission. In the meantime, could I ask you to forward your thread information on the website rental item that you were discussing last week to our treasurer Dennis Guerra at cowcraver(at)yahoo.com. I am trying to convince our guild to chance hosting services to you. Just trying another way to pitch in. I appreciate it. Greetings from Round Rock, Texas
  17. very simple but nice! I like the buckle....I have been thinking of doing one with a buckle. Thanks for sharing..... Greetings from Round Rock, Texas ~ Remember: Stop & Strop! ~
  18. My sympathys to you and your family that shared the love and companionship of your pet. My ex drug partner had to be put down at the same age and his ashes now sit in a urn with an American flag taped to it at half mast. It sound corny, but that is my little way to show my appreciation for his service to me and my family. Best wishes from Round Rock, Texas
  19. Appreciate it the reply. Greetings from Round Rock, Texas

  21. HarryB: Beautiful workspace. Man, my little corner looks like.....well not as good. Question: I saw that you have something holding 3 swivel knifes on your table top. What is that a 3 way holster? Could we see a bigger picture? Appreciate it. Oldtimer: Very nice little work shop! SWWWWWEEEEETT! Thanks for sharing. 23. I received what appeared to be a Hidecrater catalog today in the mail. I immediately flipped through the pages to see pictures because I am a visual person. To my dismay, it was just a bunch of stock numbers and prices. The front and back cover does have pictures with some "red tag" sales. Check yours out! Greetings from Round Rock, Texas ~ Remember: Stop & Strop! ~
