  1. Thanx Johanna, Was going to write but the internal mail on the site is acting glitchy. My personal Email is as follows: edited out real email addy- sending you an email now Thanks! ~J Tried to answer you and write Howard too but to no avail. Write to me and I can also send you some possible insight on the clay piece you were asking about. Thanx, Storm
  2. Hi Guys, I saw these in the gallery for the 2008 Calumet show and was totally taken back. These slip-ons are great. Does anyone know who made them and or how to find a pattern for them if such a thing exists? Thanx, Storm
  3. This is a nice one. I really like the lacing. Storm
  4. That goes to proove what I have always contended. Like father like son. Good jeans are always comfortable. The bike and bags totally compliment each other. Artistry on two wheels. Thanks for sharing and my compliments to your son. You make a pair to draw to. Storm
  5. LOVE THIS ONE! Especially love the the metal centerpiece. The whole piece works and is really strong. Super work Tom. Guess you have to do something as long as you are not out fishing! Storm
  6. Overall great piece. I too ask the question...How did you do the bear. Is he burned? I can only guess but I bet your son has to love this. You put a lot of heart into it. Storm
  7. This is a large project that I am working on at present. These Barramundi are like the best game fish in Australia. Next step is to add the color. Also a little photoshop fun with the scorpion I just cut out..prior to mounting.
  8. Nicely Done JW, For whatever it is worth I'd say that as they are an important part of the saddle... they belong. These would make any saddle standout and then some. I had no idea that they had people who still crafted these on an individual basis. Where in the hech do you find the Yak hair? Don't tell me they are growing them domestically somewhere in the Rockies. Thanx for sharing. Storm
  9. Your first pair!?!?! Excellent work. I love the stallion head motif. Great potential trademark. I am speechless. Those boots shine they truely shine! Storm
  10. Beautiful piece and very clean basket weave.
  11. Spider has a great idea. If it looked big enough you could get a logo for them in the form of a makers stamp. Very pro looking and at the same time with its own design.
  12. Love this one. The braiding and colors are just super. Bet your son loves it. Storm
  13. Very nice and it all works so well. The overall look is great. Storm
  14. Very gorgeous piece of work. I love it. Well carved and great theme. I also went to your site and there are some amazing pieces there also. Especially the SACOCHE EN CUIR GRAVÉ. The ornate satchel/bag is marvelous. Storm

  16. Kate I think that there is a problem with the server. See attahced. When I try to email Sodapop or Email Tomswede I get this. Does not make any sense as I had written several paragraphs. Tried writing toyou and the system said that there was a server error. Just wanted to give someone a heads up.
  17. Hey Darryl, Was going to send this on the side but the is some sort of server error and maybe this will work. If your Dragon is stand alone then you might try an A104 and created an overall texture. Here is some new stuff for you also. Storm
  18. YOU ARE A NATURAL!!!!! Have to get you some more pattern ideas. Very very nice! Storm
  19. Very nicely worked and finished. That is really cool. Storm
  20. Hey Tom, The site Curt showed you is the type of gear that I was talking about. There is one provision I should give you a heads up about. Many people say that they don't like or can't stand the smell when you are burning leather. Yet another reason to start out spending $15-$20 for a simple burner at first. For myself I don't have any problem with the smell. I use high end oak tanned leathers. But I just might have a tolerance to whatever smells are being generated. I know it might sound bizarro but having spent two and a half years in Vietnam might have desnsitized my nose to this smell. Although I have a good feeling that it maybe the types of leathers used and the tanning method used. Any other questions I will try to answer best I can. Thanx, Storm
  21. HERE ARE THE PROGRESSION SHOTS FOR THE DRAGON FLY! :-)
  22. Hi Tom, Nothing very fancy at this point I'm affraid. Just a single temp burner like this one. Get some extra money then I will invest $150 to $200 on a proper razor tip type unit with variable temp control. However I have thought about making my own temp control with a reostatic controller. Sometimes you just don't want so much heat. Hope that helps. It is like a soldering iron with a real conical pointed tip. Storm
  23. Thanks Regis, I can refer you to some recent earlier posts on the "Show Off Page"for visuals on the two pieces. A couple on page one and some on page two. Sequence of work: 1. Full figure carve 2. Pyrography 3. Acrylic paint washes. Thanx, Storm
  24. Wow Todd, Very sweet combo!! It works really well with the knife. Storm
  25. Here are my first two colored pyrocarves. I am working on a third and hope it may come out better. Hope you like um! Storm
