  1. Loosen this screw & push the foot down where it needs to be so it pushes the outside one up.
  2. You should move it hereItems For Sale - Leatherworker.net BUT when your selling something you should price it.
  3. Call Campbell Randall @ 937-539-1400 they have needles & awls for Landis 3 & 16 that will work in your straight needle Champion.
  4. The smallest made & they are a S-point is size#21,I do stock the 7x3 in a round point in sizes #19,20,21,22,23 which some people use when using thinner thread. You might consider getting a smaller upholstery machine like an old Singer 111w or something & keep it setup for thin leather. It will take some adjusting on the Outlaw to get the tension right & they when you go back to thick thread you'll have to re-adjust.
  5. Yes,it is a wick system, but I would still manually oil all the places esp in the needlebar area before you sew on it.
  6. It is 240498
  7. If your asking for a link to the plate here it is.
  8. Looks like a nice project,do a search I think another member restored one of these a few yrs ago.
  9. This plate raises up a good 3/8" if your not sewing over 3/8" of leather it would work.
  10. For no thicker than what your sewing a size#92 would look better because the smaller thread will hide the knot better in thin leather like this.
  11. Yes,I think you understand what is going on here. The best way to clean it is & take it to a car wash (with hot water) use spray some degreaser all over, then soap it spray all the parts & rinse off. Then when I get back to the shop blow out all the oil holes & everything else off with air. When people take them apart they can damage or loose parts & some of these are impossible to find.It really doesn't need to be super clean as people might like them to be.
  12. Yes,there is a bolt with a tapered head on it that is at the end of the rod.Turn machine & watch on the rightside underneath you'll see where the rod comes down to make the hook shaft go back & forth. You just need to tighten it alittle & will have to hold the head of the screw when you tighten the locknut it so it doesn't get too tight.
  13. We sell them in packs of 10 & have size #24 in stock
  14. We stock market feet & other parts for the Adler 67's for alot less $$ than Adler sells them for.And if you have an Adler you should try to buy another Adler if you need a 2nd machine so the feet & etc interchange.
  15. @Wellington This code means it does not have drop-feed,it would be a machine more suitable for binding.
  16. Put some oil on the bar just ahead of the lower circled part, you could try tapping on the rightside of the L-piece just above the small bar.One more thing to look at is on the first pic,you have a lifter bar that picks the foot up,take it off & the then take the big headed screw out & look at the bottom, there's a release pin there that could of slipped backwards holding it up.
  17. Put some oil in the bushings there's an upper & lower one where the bar runs through. Then push or tap on the foot & it should go down.Don't loosen the circled screw.
  18. I'll agree with the rest of them, this seller is clueless about machines or he wouldn't be running it w/o the needle plate on it! They could had at least cleaned it up & put a needle plate & outside on it b4 the vid!Probably pretty well worn coming from Lazyboy.
  19. It looks like a 7-38,the wear your looking at is normal, the takeup doesn't move @ that point so the thread can be picked up by the hook.Oil everything on it that moves & there are places when you spin it it might get alittle harder to turn like when the feet lift do to the action against the pressure foot spring.
  20. The problem with the Seiko CH8B is there isn't much available feet, needle plates & etc for it like the more common 441 style machine.
  21. When looking @ it turn it clockwise.
  22. @kgg Did you look @ the other machines he has for sale? He really gives them all a sales pitch,I'll bet he's on ebay to trying to pawn these off too as Heavy Duty! He has a 31-15 listed for $400.00 w/table which would be a way better choice than the little portable machine with the pulleys.
  23. It should sew to 3/8".Like most Industrial machines you can unbolt the head off of the stand & haul it in 2 pieces. The head weighs around 70lbs.
