  1. I checked the speed again you can ramp it up slowly with your foot anywhere from 25 to top speed of 410
  2. The 150 is w/o a reducer, the motor will run slower with one since there's less friction. Our box style reducer has a 4:1 ratio & the speed is 15 RPM sewing 20 oz of leather on a CB341,so motor is down to 120 RPM.
  3. I got my tachometer out & the lowest speed running a machine is 150rpm with a CSM-550-1 and that's why we use them on everything. No boards to blow either.
  4. The squeaking is the plastic belt, the tight spot could be lack of oil somewhere, have you oiled everything on the needlebar end?Including the takeup lever, needlebar & all the linkages?
  5. Someone has adjusted your machine for the 134-35 needle which is a mm or so shorter. To adjust for the longer 135x17 you need to loosen the screw on the needlebar clamp that is under the face cover. If you do this be sure to have 1-hand on the screwdriver when you loosen the screw & the other one on the needlebar so it doesnt drop or you'll have more work to do.Then just raise it 1 mm or so.
  6. We have it in stock & can ship USPS 3-4days for under $5.00 for the postage & $3.00 for the screw
  7. Schmetz does make a size #21 in a 794S point & of course we have them. And the smallest 7x3 you can buy now is a#19 or #120 in metric, they quit making the #18.
  8. The 31-19 had the shorter arm,yrs ago we used to rebuild these & sell them for auto upholstery machines & after we sold all the machines we could find here,we found a place in the UK that had them & they sent the 31K47 & they worked alot better with the higher walk.
  9. Yes, if your timing is slow the take-up lever is trying to pull the thread up before it's all the way around the hook & can cause the problem.
  10. The longer throw like your is better, you get more lift on the feet as they walk to clear thicker foam or to climb over a higher seam.
  11. Is the feed dog coming above the needle plate enough? If so you could elongate the slot for the stitch length screw so it goes down alittle more, you also want to check that the feed dog isn't hitting in the front or back of the needle plate. There's an adjustment on the lower feed shaft that sets it.
  12. Even IF it didn't sew it would be worth more than that!
  13. I still have some #2,3,31/2 & 4 needles.alot of people keep the old needle if they break the hook off & reuse it for an awl (with minor sharpening)
  14. I've used a trigger pull guage 1-1.5 Lb pull is all you need on the bobbin & around 5Lb on the top thread.
  15. They are usually adjustable so you can match what ever stitch length your using.
  16. Most of these motors were 220V 3ph,you'll usually have to keep the air cylinder & get an air switch to hook up to the lift cylinder for a foot lift. Some machines that didn't have air lift had a knee bracket on them.
  17. Looks like one thickness of leather try sewing at least 2 or more & see what happens.
  18. @FSForgeThe largest thread I would recommend for this machine is size#138.There is a screw above the screw that holds the needle in that allows you to move the needle clamp left to right, just loosen & adjust as needed.
  19. @falcon45 Size #25 is from US & size#200 is metric so both # are the same size,we do have these in stock.
