  1. One is "A" grade one us "B" grade. The B grade will have more marks and scars. So more waste is how I see it. Idk if this is what you are asking about.
  2. A friend in England want a billfold. I don't think a standard US sized billfold will fit British £ notes. Does anyone know of a pattern available? He doesn't want a coin pouch just notes and cards.
  3. Round braid is pretty easy. I just can't end them looking good. Can't wrap my head around the knots.lol
  4. Yep do what makes you happy. It unique and different.
  5. It appears to be an aniline dyed leather. And he is using a dark brown or black dye on the edges. He also slicked the back with gum trag or Tokanole.the ones he was showing on the computer were. Block dyed or airbrushed with a lighter color and hen a darker color. Some call it Sunburst some call it patina dyed.Burnished edges always get darker. I don't know if any of this helps.
  6. 1 3/4 is 44mm. It is possible with a strap cutter. Try on scrap and go slow and make sure blade is SHARP.

    Paper Weight

I back mine with tape. But I'm talking about holding it still with more than my wrist. It's something I saw Bruce Cheney do on YouTube.

    Paper Weight

My Tandy rounders measure 8 oz. I do like the idea of a weight for holding projects while stamping.
  9. It's 7oz. She knows how to do rivets snaps and hand stitch.lol
  10. She dyed resisted and antiqued the coaster and just antiqued the flower.
  11. When I first started I put a mag carrier in boiling water. It is petrified. I have it hanging on my bench as reminder not to do that again.lol That being said. If it needs to stay hard as a rock and not ever flex again it will work. I also basically soaked it in Neetsfoot oil and it never softened.
  12. She has made some purses for Barbie, wallets, valet trays, key fobs, notebook covers..... I put my foot down yesterday when she wanted to make a leather couch for Barbie. Lol
  13. Yes they do. They have a beginner Celtic carving class in a col weeks. She wants to go to that. We took a braiding class a few months back. 20 mins into it she was helping other people.lol
  14. My 10 yr old is trying her hand at carving. She get frustrated when stuff doesn't turn out perfect. It's way better than my first and maybe latest attempt at carving. Was at Tandy yesterday and was talking to the manager (daughter was there) managers daughter was there also. She teaches the carving classes. She is also an Al Stohlman award winner. She explained to her it takes practice over and over to get it looking the way you want. When we got home Savannah decided to try again. This is a piece she started months ago and quit. "Cuz it looks bad" So she tried again. Still not happy with the way it turned out. But didn't give up this time. The coaster is one she just freehanded with a swivel knife.
  15. Kylie is a great lady. She wasn't even supposed to be at Sheridan last year. We had ordered 1 side before that and she remembered who my wife was from talking on the phone 4 months earlier. Will be talking to her tomorrow again as need to more sides again. It's amazing how fast you can run through a side doing just small goods. Lol
  16. W/C calls in holstered. They run it through a roller press I believe.
  17. Your welcome Matt.
  18. I have that table and it's pretty nice. Very sturdy.
  19. It's also slightly sticky so you get a good grip! Lol
  20. I wrap the small ones in the self sticking bandage wrap. Same stuff I use on my pinky for hand sewing.
  21. Their European bends are labeled "Belgium".
  22. Every supplier has their own idea of "A" grade. I only use veg tan and I like W/C so that's what I stick with. Tandy has some Sedwick i woukd like to try but no splitter and the cost of it staggers me.lol
  23. They both have there place. I like a flat glass one to make large area glueing stick well all over. I only use round burnisher on edges. No one tool for every job. You can use a glass butter dish with a rounded edge as a burnisher. Check out charity shops for the like if you don't want to buy one. Idk about wrinkles but some people swear by burnishing before tooling after casing.
  24. I was gonna say Wicket and Craig. But since you are in the Peak District that don't help probably. Off topic I like Peak Ale, Debra is a nice lady, wife and I have friends in Bakewell and we stayed in Little Longston for Christmas a few yrs ago. Did a Christmas day ramble at Chatsworth Estate. Beautiful area, nice pubs, and good ale.
