  1. Wanted to do some stuff in color. Fiebings Blue and Oxblood airbrushed on 3oz Wickett and Craig. Cream Tiger Thread in .80 at about 8 spi.

  3. Put a small gusset on the pocket. Say pocket is 6 inches wide. Then a 1.5 inch sewn to the pocket. Flesh to flesh. Then sew the strip to the body of the bag.

  5. Check out Bob Douglas Tools. He sells vintage tool. Sharp and ready to go. He also is a nice guy and will talk to you about what will work best for you.
  6. On chrome tan you need some heat to leave a good impression. You don't need a lot of hear so I don't know why not. You can even heat with a heat gun. The spirit lamps are old school traditional method IMHO
  7. I like these coaster patterns. Less tools so I figure I can master a few them work up to the Sheridan easier. It's my plan anyways.lol

  9. I know with eco Flo I saw a video where he applied it for like 5 mins. Just continually rubbing it it. Lots of dye. It applies way differently than alcohol dyes. https://youtu.be/vPtelaDViPY
  10. Out our dining room is Pikes Peak and Norad. Off the back deck is Peterson Air Base.
  11. There is a bathroom vent mounted to the back of the "booth" and a furnace filter. And I open the window and have rigid foam board that I stick the vent tube through. The board fits snug in the window frame.

  13. Not bad. It goes in streaks. Sold about 50 so far. Got about 100 odd sales overall in a year.

  15. That's why I switched to an airbrush. I get a nice even color that is the color I want.

  20. I've switched to an airbrush because I didn't have luck either dip or wipe dyeing.

  22. That still wouldn't have got you the pull tab part though. And you learned more doing it your way. The pigskin can be used for lining projects also. It's a complex wallet but I applaud your execution. And it comes down to If Grandpa likes it....who care what ANYBODY else thinks.
