  1. I’d go with the edge flex. Not good luck with Edge Kote. Flaked off for me on stuff used in the pocket and my first few holsters.
  2. I don’t have a pattern but Bruce Cheney has some videos on making them on YouTube
  3. That's how I ended up with a righty and lefty G43 holsters made. Lol since they both sold no biggie and got lucky.
  4. These are my bread and butter Etsy items. They let me buy leather and tools so I can make other things. I have sold over a hundred of these and I don't really know why. Lol I have never seen anyone that uses a pocket protector. But they allow me to keep doing this hobby so I will keep making them.
  5. 4 prong barb this time at about 6spi with black Tiger Thread.
  6. So Jason, could I send a pic of that and have them make me one cheaper than you? I couldn't resist. Lol. Beautiful as always sir.
  7. I have a Tandy Craftool Pro chisel. The number ends with 57. The one I have that ends in 55 is closer to 10. And thank you i was worried it was to "plain" with just the barb wire and steer but seemed to come out ok.
  8. Thanks. That barb wire stamp can be fiddly to line up. I have another one on the go too.lol
  9. 5oz W/C body, interior 3oz. Fiebings Tan cut 50/50 airbrushed on the inside outside saddle tan antique. .8 Tiger Thread at 8 spi (roughly).
  10. https://www.harborfreight.com/8-in-5-speed-bench-drill-press-60238.html This is the one I have. And a cocobolo burnisher off Etsy for $50.
  11. I'd go with a small tabletop drill press. Most have adjustable speed and can use for other things too. It what I use for burnishing and sanding.
  12. If you are talking about the yellow one. I find it to light for me. I use a 2lbs maul.
  13. Don't put on the rough out. It will soak in way to fast. Put on a light coat let it soak in and level. An old t shirt works go apply it. Go light you can add more but can't take it out. To much will make the leather soggy. It will darken it a bit but anything you add to leather even wwater will darken it. After you add the oil let it sit for 24hrs before you do anything else.
  14. I remember the AWA in Green Bay. We stayed up late on Saturday night to watch ir.
  15. Gum Trag with work but you can't dye through it. I will also use saddle soap sometimes. You can dye through it.
  16. It's veg tan. Bevel and sand the edges. Then burnish with water. Then you can dye the edge with dye. Bob Park has a tutorial on edge burnishing in the How to section. http://leatherworker.net/forum/topic/18101-finishing-edges/
