  1. The zipper is on a pouch. If you look at the last pic it is in between the two gussets. The strap would be sewn on to the outer body of the wallet. There are a few videos I’ve seen on YouTube of long wallets. Some with zippers some without. A few of those should give you the breakdown of construction that you want. Also all the things @battlemunky said too.
  2. Jeff is the guy that did the post and video. There is no resist used that I know of.

  4. It’s amazing the variety of stamping you can get with just a few stamps.lol
  5. Wickett and Craig will sell it and split it for you.
  6. Thank you. The one with the initials is Show Brown and the wallet and other pocket protector are Chocolate. Fiebings Pro Dye, airbrushed on. Subtle difference hard to tell in picture.
  7. Yes I hand stitch everything. I use stitching chisels and Tiger thread. Usually .8.
  8. Couple pocket protectors and a front pocket wallet ready to ship out. All made out of 3oz W/C.
  9. What do you mean by peculiar presentation of material?
  10. Also need to rough smooth leather to give it a “tooth” just like with wood.
  11. As Jeff said double 4oz. Then it’s lined also. Win win I’d say.
  12. Check JLSleather. He has a lot of patterns and good instructions on how to make one yourself also.
  13. To my eye it almost seem to be upside down in the holster. Other than the strap. I would round the end of the strap end also square edges seem to snag on things. That barb wire stamp can be fiddly to work with.lol
  14. Congrats to your son. Got a letter from my daughter today. She is being medically discharged. 5 weeks into Army Basic, stress fractures in both knees, both ankles, one foot, shin splints, pink eye, bronchitis and a messed up Achilles. She is tougher than I am. She wanted to go on but they said because of the Achilles it’s a no go. She was going for Combat Engineer. BTW she is 5’3 109lbs. Lol
  15. Looks good. And you can never discount the cool factor. Sometimes you just gotta deal with a hassle for cool.
  16. What I hate is when I walk into a brick and mortor to buy something and they say “we don’t stock that, I can order it only me for you” I’m like so can I but I want it now that’s why I’m at a store, not sitting at a computer........
  17. On edges a lot of time it’s glue you didn’t get sanded off. Glue makes a great resist for dye.lol
  18. Thank you. I dye with an airbrush. The spacing on the stitching is longer than I’m used to. The wife likes it. So wife happy Matt happy.lol
  19. A bag I made for the wife for when we are riding. Entirely 5 oz W/C . A pattern I bought off Etsy. New territory for me as there is no glue used. The maker pre punched all the holes at 1.8 mm I used a diamond awl to prepunch. Used .8 Blue Tiger thread. Brass rivets. Mulch harder than copper.lol All Brass hardware.
  20. What weight leather are you using first off? I’d just go with the copper burr rivets and like 10oz and maybe reinforce it on the inside.
