  1. If they are Barry King or the like that’s cheap. If newer Tandy almost full price. I’m assuming you are talking about stamps. Post a link or pic and people can get a better idea of what there is.
  2. Maybe start just doing 2 coats? No idea about the Resolene I hardly use it.
  3. Buy a cheap one and remove the rivets and use on yours.
  4. Did you all to Tandy? They are good a replacement for defective items.

    Snaps

For pictures I use an app on my phone called Image Size. Easy and fast. For snaps use a small drill to remove old snaps on jacket. If you can get to the back of them and reinstall Line 24 in the old hole.
  6. There is a post somewhere on here that has a video on how to do it. But basically on the back side you use ribbon or tyvek to make the pockets. If I can find it I will post here. Makers Leather Supply has a few videos on YouTube on how to do it also. here is a video to give you an idea.
  7. Yes they are. I never would have thought it myself. Lol
  8. This week’s custom order heading out the door. 3oz W/C Fiebing Pro Dye and .8 Tiger Thread.
  9. I made a bag similar to what your talking about a few yrs ago. I used decorative furniture tacks and contact cement. Also use Tboyce pattern in the pattern section. Not able to visualize how you would sew it to the wood.
  10. It’s called block dyeing. Look it up on YouTube. I’ve never done it but never tried it.
  11. Use copper burr rivets. They hold saddles together. And need a grinder to get them apart so........
  12. This is Mrs Mattsbagger (the website chick). I want to thank you all for your honest, encouraging, and educational responses. I’ve spent the past 3 or so weeks working hard to incorporate as many of the suggestions as I could. Thanks Jeff @JLSleather for the push to figure out hyperlinking our email and a number of the visual description things. And @Northmount, my mind is blown! Your advice to take pics in shade was the key! Like it changed everything! I’ve decided to go with a wood background as I prefer it more than floating and it also helps to mask some of my emerging skills as a photo editor. They aren’t perfect by any means, but they suck less! I’d like to invite you all to revisit smithcustomleather.com to see your suggestions in action. Thanks for being such a great community! Steph
  13. If you have the front piece use contact cement to glue them to the buckle. The holes look like they are for lacing. I use the pieces as patterns and cut my own leather. Then hand stitch them I don’t lace. Is that what you mean?
  14. Those should look pretty cool.
  15. Orange oil is amazing stuff. When I ran a dump truck we used it to clean the tack and asphalt off our trucks.lol
