    Yes. The resolene will make it shiny and plastic-y. I’m not sure what you could use to seal it, all I have ever heard is buff, buff, buff, until it comes out clean. Think of it as an upper body work-out? I will ask tomorrow, the guys I work with have, between them, almost 100 years of experience.

    I would think 4-5 oz, maybe lighter, depending on how soft you want the cover to be. If you want a firm, solid cover, then use heavier. If you want a cover that you can fold and sew to fit, that may not be as solid, but will be softer to the touch, go lighter.

    The guys I work with say Tandy only sells real leather, cow, pig, goat, sheep. Right now we have skate and snake as well. We just got in elastic stuff and paper braids for bag handles though, and earring posts and wires.
