Sheath for a... uh.. uhm... Bread knife
ScoobyNewbie replied to Riem's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
That’s a cool sheath. And the jeweler’s rouge is kinda cool as well. Would it get on the bread? -
I love the bark on the stick! I’ve been making walking sticks/shillelaghs for a few years. Just simple. But soft soft on the hand.

Thank you very much. I well try to put some together this next weekend. I actually have all that stuff!

Score! I want a cutter as well!!!! That bag is gorgeous! I have found that I tend to cut better when I transfer the pattern onto the suede side of the fabric and cut from there. That way I can use my leather scissors for softer leathers and they work a bit like fabric, or thick/stiffer denim. On thicker leathers I am still kind of jiggly. I have found that I like to cut a bit away from my real edge, that way I have room to smooth and sand the edge into submission. Also I seem to like to use my chisels too close to my edge, I’ve sanded some of the stitches right off before burnishing. Oops! So I try, VERY HARD, to make my chisel lines at least a quarter inch away from my actual cut line.

Anyone Read Don Gonzales's Floral Design eBook?

@ABHandmade Peculiar means what you think it means in the context that you used it. Different than you were expecting. It can have a bit of a negative swing, “Uncle Jimmy is a bit... peculiar, don’t worry.” But you did use it correctly. -
Cool! My son and I saw a recliner/camp stool with a back/thingy at a store, and the first thing out of his mouth after he felt the leather was, “we can make this”. Lol. The apples don’t fall far.

Thank you for that tip. I put neetsfoot on a purse kit before I used EcoFlo water stain “evening blue”. On one piece I water stained first, and on all the others I used neetsfoot oil before to soften the pieces up. ‘The piece that got neetsfoot after is very dark and exactly how I wanted it. A little 6th grade, but pretty good for my first tooling project. I’ll try to get a picture up. the rest of the pieces are still pretty, but they are much more variegated than I wanted. It turned out okay, underwatery and blue, so okay, but is this because I didn’t wait long enough after the neetsfoot oil, or is it because I used a waterstain instead of an oil based dye? -

Nice! I just got my brother to make me 2 sewing awl hafts. A straight sword point and a curved point. He thought He would try an egg shape and size for the handle and they work nicely. -
Did you get a pattern of it? It looked like a really good pattern. Oooo! I love the chains on the strap!

OH! Pretty! -
Is your recipe personal? Or can we have it? I really don’t like harsh smells. I would love a sealer that smells nice.

Great cobra. Love the dragonfly.

In the furniture trade they hit them with chains. Wood stuff anyway. fold leather or scrape it over concrete?
-
Cool. Thanks.
-
I’ve heard them called coozies. Are they growlers because of the strap?
-
I like your machete sheath and your powder horn.

Hello? Do I have the term wrong?
