I guess I have the best of both worlds LOL I design in Corel and let the laser cut all the curves perfectly, No compass, no alum thingy majiggies no knives LOL Guess I cheat . Altho I can do most of it my hand if need be.

Thanks for the answer . This is strictly a hobby for me and I make something every couple of weeks. Not like I'd use this machine everyday , maybe once a week to sew up a sheath or something. I haven't even tried to use it yet.

Would putting a hand crank on my 99 make sewing heavy leather easier ? Not depending on the motor to punch thru the leather?

Just to give you an idea. Of course shape, size and all that can be changed , just wanted to show you an Idea.just a proto type. the actual piece will be much more finished even cut and trimmed and a coat of sheen for a slight gloss. -

Looks like a leather patch could be made easy enough and sewn on I could engrave the new dates and you could have them sewn on
