please watch your water temp as the chiller you have will just cool to room temp its not a real chiller. the 500 is a real chiller and will cool the water. You don't want your water getting over 75*F and to be honest 65 to 70 is a much better operating temp. To warm water will shorten your tube life.

if you have proper ventilation its not a problem to cut or engrave Chrome Tanned leather. Its one of my favorites to work with. It does cut hard tho full power needed to cut

Has anyone tried etching a design on leather then carving it out with a swivel knife.

Wow and I thought I was the only one with a whole house craft shop.Living room, dining room and both spare bedrooms are just over run with craft stuff , Hell my laser is setup in the living room, and a table outside on the deck. I'm bad really bad, but I'm single. Hmm I wonder why LOL

A 60 watt co2 laser will do all you want and more and do it much faster then a diode laser. You should be able to find a decent 60 watt for under 5k maybe a lot less then that even. It won't engrave bare metal but will mark bare metal with cermark. It will engrave most coated metals, painted, powder coated, anodized ect ect.

1. Its way over Priced, you can get a much better machine for less money. 2. Its cloud based you need internet to use it. WHAT!!!! who ever thought of this had a screw loose. 3. They tell you you have to use their preferred materials which are way over priced and totally BS. you an use regular materials just like real laser use. 4. Their slow 5. They lie to you about their power ratings. They say their pro version which coswt close to 7K is 45 watts which is not true. its closer to 30 watts nominal out put 6. Their cooling system sucks, they tend to over heat and stop so you have to wait for them to cool down. 7. Their made of plastic and if theirs a fire( and lasers do catch fire) they burn your house down. Most real lasers have metal cases which have a better chance of containing the fire. 8. There's no Z axis I could go on but you get the idea
