  1. Thanks guys !!
  2. who has to make a little stuff for my women ? Wife and daughter want some leather/jewelry from time to time . Arrow head is 2 pieces of 7/8 glued flesh to flesh , up close you can see the seam but it's not noticeable from a foot or two away . Beads and bone are strung on 1.2 stitching thread and tied like a pearl string . Choker is 8 oz and just stamped with stainless steel chain . I did not see a particular place for this but if I missed it someone point me to it please .
  3. Figured I might as well go ahead and make enough for a set ( with Yosemite Sam from another thread ) and the daughter will take them . I told her to give one to any kid that recognized a character !!!!
  4. Welcome to the forum !!! My nick name is " leather butcher "
  5. Nicely done !! Nice hair barrettes too
  6. Nice Ruger and a nice ride for it !!!
  7. They do take some getting use to , I shot gloved for 10 or 12 years . A buddy got me to agree to try one of his tabs for 2 weeks , at first I hated it and was just wanting the time to be up LOL ! Went and bought my own before time was up . Do you know if she shoots split finger or 3 below ? It really doesn't matter as they make tabs for both styles . Anyway I'm sure you will make her a outstanding glove and now you have got to post PICS when it's done !!!!!! By the way a tab is much easier to make
  8. Welcome !! I can't help with the items you are interested in but someone will .
  9. I'll second what kgg said and add that there are 2 schools on gloves . 1st is thicker , heavy weight , and harder finish to help the string slip away . 2nd and the one I always preferred is supple and light weight leather so as to feel the ridges on the serving . But in all honesty ..... if you can talk her into shooting a tab her shooting WILL improve !!!
  10. Thank you Sir !! I did put a belt loop on the back but in truth it will never see much use . I carry this in the ruler pocket on my Carharts .
  11. @chuck123wapati Brothers and hunting partners figured if ya can't tie a knot tie a lot Carpentry/ construction did a little borrowing from the old sailors as well . I worked with some hands in construction that thought themselves RIGGERS that I would not have let tie my boots !!!!
  12. Dang nice !!!! The colors are awesome .
  13. @chuck123wapatiYou may not be tying the bowline right it breaks real easy where the pencil is pointing . With thumb break it back along the standing end . But now you may have some really BIG critters
  14. I love knots and I should have said " undressed " I'm going to borrow your " no funeral " somewhere down the road I guess while I'm righting things I owe Mulesaw in sailors speak ............ reef knot
  15. I just can't leave well enough alone but this time I think this helped at least it did no harm LOL !! I am having a hard time with photos ,,,,, looks like 2 different sheaths I
  16. Advice taken ------ no wet forming , a knot that can be recognized ( maybe ) , tried to straighten my edges . Thanks guys ! I sat here and tried to copy my own knot tied in paracord , that is why there are no strands . I was going to strand it but decided I had messed up enough on this little project already Still got a fat place in one cord but because it is just for me , I'm gonna live with it . I would have to redo it yet again if it were for someone . @chuck123wapati Yes you do need one !
  17. @Mulesaw I took this from an image I found on the web . Did not cross my mine what knot it was . Sitting here recreating it , it is a malformed square knot so I will work from my own knot and I think I can work this out . Tomorrow ......LOL !!
  18. It is a quality tool , well made and all about function !!! You are exactly right about the knot while beginning to lay out the tooling window for a redo I noticed that I had not beveled far enough where you are talking about . Also I think I have the tag end in wrong place , I believe it should be under the bend . I will try and correct all of it on the redo ! Thank you
  19. Got ya , thanks .
  20. @Dwight Thank you for being kind . I guess doing a little tooling on some box tops that I make and wet forming those , I thought I could just do that anywhere . The difference being just having to form 5/8 " on the outside of the radius .... and the tooling area staying flat . I will take some advice and just tool the redo . Thank you !
  21. I got this Myerchin about 2 years back , came with nice nylon sheath but it is still nylon . Anyway I thought today I would make something leather for it . Missed with locating the tooling where I wanted it and lost some definition in the tooling when I wet formed . I will probably end up trying this again .
  22. That looks good even if I am not a football fan . What is the trapper ?, I can't make it out .
  23. See if helps .................... ain't the interweb just great
  24. A2 is like 16x24 " isn't it ? My printer offers to print that size but I think it MUST be a pdf file . That is all I know , never tried to do it .
