  1. Hi, I am thinking of attaching a non-movable binder attachment to my Pfaff 335. The reason is to make it easier to switch between sewing "normally" versus sewing binding. Would it be possible to attach a binder (e.g. KHF2) directly to the KB69 Bracket Part (https://www.khsew.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=2227&search=bracket+part)? The KB69 (12mm) can be attached to the arm of Pfaff 335. Are there any big dis-advantages of choosing a non-movable binder for the Pfaff 335 (if it is at all feasable) instead of a moving one? /Uwe K
  2. I have been doing a few projects recently that need a very small cylinder machine to enable me to get into the tight corners and such. This is still a bit of a work in progress but so far the results have been good. A few more tweaks and they should be excellent. I have a 335 Pfaff , 69 Adler, Tk 335 Elizabeth and a 331 Pfaff that I have finished of some new cylinder caps for. After doing some measurements and tests the width of the caps have now been reduced from 46.6mm down to 41.4mm. ( a bit under 1/4"). The depth has reduced a couple of mm and the length a couple as well. NOTE: except for the Pfaff 331 which has a little more room for reductions, all of the caps fitted and they are all the smaller bobbin variety. The first picture shows 3 of the 4 caps just finished as against the ones being replaced. This is the TK335 Elizabeth cylinder showing some comparisons. This one below shows the Adler 69 fitted well This one below on my favourite Pfaff 331machine (needle and dog foot feed and no pesky walking foot) Here are a couple of samples of work where this kind of reduction comes in handy. I do like to be able to stitch around a product fully and try to design for this and the sewing machines capability. Here I think the difference shows fairly well If any of you have printers and one of these style machines let me know and I will get you a stl file if you want it. If you have one of these machines and are one of my followers and do not have a printer... PM me if you would like one. I know the colour is awful and I could have done them in a metalic silver colour but at least they are easy to find now. Brian
  3. Hi everyone So I really hope someone can help me with info on a pfaff 335-9B H2L. I was able to purchase the machine from someone selling it on gumtree for $290 which I think is a bargain. I cleaned and oiled the machine, had to make some timing adjustments, now it's working great! I googled the model but was unable to find anything. So if anyone can provide me with some info I would greatly appreciate it!
  4. Hello, Can someone tell me if the needles I use in a Juki 1541S can be used in a Pfaff 335 clone? 134-35 & 135 x 16: Are they compatible? Thank you! Silverd
  5. Hi All, I have a Pfaff 335-H3-6/10-BS cylinder arm walking foot big bobbin sewing machine. The machine is in perfect sewing condition. I can sell the machine complete with table, or as head-only, which I can ship anywhere domestically. Also includes a fold back roller edge guide. Available for pickup in NY/NJ area, or I can ship the head. Let me know if you have any questions of want to discuss! I also have: Pfaff 335 H2 Pfaff 345 Pfaff 438's Adler 69-373 Pfaff 1445 Juki 5550-6 (automatic) Juki 8700-7 (automatic) and a few others.
  6. Hello everybody, did anyone know when the early Pfaff 335 were black with old Pfaff logotype (serif typography)? I have one from 1952 and it's already green with gold Pfaff logotype which is without oval peripheral lines. I'm just curious about that, because I would like to paint it black, I just like it. Thanks a lot, Jirka
  7. Please email me if you are interested. I check that more than anything. info@Loyalstricklin.com photos Here’s a video with the pfaff sewing (sped up) https://instagram.com/p/Bkh8VzJgy4r/ Nashville, TN For sale: Pfaff 335. Comes with swing down binder (cost $60) and extra slim presser feet (cost $50) and some extra needles $1900 plus shipping ($300-$350 from east coast to Texas. 450 or so to out west) Purchased new 9 months ago. I just use it to close bags. Maybe 50 hrs on it total. Techsew 2800B binding set up machine. I use this to bind the seams of all of our canvas and leather bags. Functionally the same machine as the pfaff 335. 1” tape binder included. For about $100 in parts you can convert this to a regular sewing machine just like the 335 or vice versa. Shipping costs are the same Both have servo motors. The pfaff has a space saver table. A flag table top can be bought for both as well from Uwe Grosse, so they can be 2-3 machines in one if needed. I’m upgrading to a durkopp adler if similar style, so I don’t need these machines anymore once it arrives. They sew and work as new and look brand new as well. Please DM if you’re interested or if you have any other questions. There is one person I’m waiting to hear back from on the techsew, but the pfaff has no one in line currently. Local pickup is available in Nashville, TN as well.
  8. Hello, I have a question regarding feed dogs marking leather. I have a Pfaff 335 sewing machine with walking foot feed. On softer leather the feet marked it as well but I solved that by gluing thin leather on the bottom of the feet. I still have issues with the bottom feed dog marking the leather. It's smooth, without teeth and it moves only horizontally (maybe just a little bit vertically but it is a negligible amount - 0.05mm). What it does is it leaves a line, which can't be rubbed off, on the bottom side of the leather. First I thought this is because the plate covering it was slightly higher than the feed dog so I sanded it down to the same height. This however didn't solve the issue. Are there any solutions/workarounds to this? Many thanks, Jakob
  9. Hello! I just bought a Pfaff 335 with the valuable help of some members of the forum. It came with the standard walking feet (1/4"). Which other feet would you suggest to buy? I was thinking of the 1/8". Georgia
  10. PFAFF 335G-6/01 BLN - LIKE NEW. Pfaff single needle cylinder arm walking foot. Complete on RUC with 1060x500 table top G60 position motor and LED light. Drop Down Edge Guide 20 spools of 40T & 60T thread 20 packs of GROZ-BECKERT quality needle 36 additional bobbins and 2 bobbin cases Manuals and extra walking foot provided I used to work from home and so I had a lot of free time to craft. I love sewing and I love leather. My husband bought this machine for me as a present. Hardly used since purchased as my health deteriorated the past years. I now have to give up this machine because we're moving to Thailand, I cannot afford to ship it with us. Asking price: EUR1,800.00
  11. Hey guys I have some issues regarding my pfaff 335 (which I dont use much and don't know much about sewing machines in general). The main issue is that the needle hits the bobbin case and breaks. I timed the hook so the needle is 1.8mm up when the hook intersects the needle. The problem happens when the bobbin case is inserted and the inner part inside the hook part that spins freely isn't synchronized to the needle causing it to miss the hole and hit the bobbin case. Do you have any ideas what is causing this? Did I fail to time the needle/hook or is it something else? I attached a picture of my sewing machine and the hook/inner part thingy that is causing issues. Many thanks, Jakob
  12. Hello everyone, i am about to buy different presser feet and folders for my clone of Pfaff 335 and I have a problem with the piping attachements. I can find the piping presser feet easily but I cannot find any piping folder with the feed dog and throat plate made especially for piping. Does it even exist? Or shall I just use a regular folder? If anyone knows how this thing may look like could you please share a picture? thank you, regards, Sandra Weiss
  13. Hey Guys, I'm looking for info on the compatibility of Consew 277RFS cylinder arm parts. As far as needle plate, feed dogs, binding plate attachment etc. I understand that all parts are the same as the Seiko LSC 8, but after some searching I cant seem to find what the cylinder arm is based on. It seems very similar to both the Pfaff 335 as well as the Juki 246. Specifically interested in being able to use specialized needle plates, as well as binder attachments for Pfaff 335 on the Consew 277. Such as the attached images available from Kwokhing. I have emailed them asking about compatibility, but have not received a reply. Any information on what the 277 cylinder arm is based on / interchangeable with would be very much appreciated. I have also attached a pic of the badge of of the Consew. Thank you! -Sam
  14. i'm selling a almost new Pfaff 335 walking foot cylinder arm machine with the the oscillating binder attachment. It's a fantastic machine but it doesn't have enough pull for binding the seams( bought to set up as a dedicated binder) of my backpacks and bike bags. you can see my work www.alpineluddites.com, just so you have a reference for the type of items i was using it on. I know now it's a better leather machine than nylon from friends who own small production facilities here in Colorado. My staple machine is the Consew206RB-5 which just plows through anything with #69 & 92 thread. I also use it for sewing on leather patches and bottoms on some of my packs too. so I have 20 hours of actual sewing time on the this machine. Has the Pfaff anti knock off sticker. 3/4 hp servo. has both oscillating binder and regular plate and feet. located in Colorado. asking $1900
  15. I am selling one of my German made Pfaff 335 machines. Hardly used this machine is in like new condition. Comes complete with new table, thread stand, servo motor and some bobbins. This machine uses the larger style 335 bobbins. $2200.00 OBO. Prefer local pickup.
  16. I have a "new-to-me" Pfaff that I'm slowly getting into, and I just noticed that the bar that the outside presser foot is attached to is missing the left ear. This makes the foot sit crooked, and as such it every so often hits the inside presser foot causing all sorts of clatter. I tried looking at the parts diagram for the newer 335's, but the seem to have a 2 piece bar, while mine seems to have a solid bar. Am I missing something or is the bar different? My machine is from 1976. And a second question, is this something that I, with no sewing machine repair skills what so ever, can replace? I have rebuilt cars and such and am reasonably handy, but I've never seen such a complicated mechanism as what's inside that Pfaff.
  17. Hi! I have a Pfaff 335-H3-6/10-BS for sale in the NY/NJ area. Available with older table/motor, but I will also consider shipping head only. Sews very well, big bobbin, has fold-back edge guide. Asking $1500 OBO. Here is a link to ebay auction with pics, but I would much prefer to sell without ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/182080795475?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
  18. hi, I wanted to ask for some suggestions on getting my machine up and running. I just bought a brand new Pfaff 335, it's a cylinder arm machine. I'm setting it up as a dedicated binder for work on custom backpacks. I set up the machine this past week once it arrived and as normal walking foot it was fine. I installed the dedicated binder parts. i immediately broke a needle and now my needle hits the bobbin hook. the Pfaff manuals are not that helpful in this regard . So I'm wondering if any one else has some experience with this machine. FYI>using #20, #22 needles, #69 & 92 thread. i mainly sew heavy nylon fabrics and webbing. all my leather sewing (lash patches and leather bottoms) I do on my Consew 206. While this is my first posting to the forum on this site, I have been an avid reader and used the info here for setting up my own leather die cutting for my custom packs. I reproduce packs from 60's and 70's and made replica dies for the leather. my website : www.alpineluddites.com Thanks JC
  19. Hello, I've found a lot of information on this forum and I appreciate it a lot. But there is a thing that I can't figure out. I've found Pfaff 335 described as H3 17 1B L but the arm looks different then others I've seen. I assume that "other machines" are designed for binding and this precise one is exclusively for leather - but I'm not sure... Normally in the arm there is the dog feed mechanism... What are the differences above just the look of machine? (here are some photos of this machine)

  21. Hi all, Need your help again please. I am very new to sewing machine, I found this Pfaff 335 online: http://www.valesew.co.uk I contacted the seller and was told that the machine is brand new. I am wondering if you can advise me what subclass this is, and tip on how to check if the machines are genuinely made not a counterfeit or used. How could I check that? Also where can I find technical info on this machine? I downloaded a leaflet but it doesn't say much sadly. I told the seller that I am planning to sew 3/8" max (veg tan leather + fabric) he doesn't seem to think it will take that thickness? Many thanks!
  22. Hi Guys Ive been looking at a few used machines lately and wondering if the needle plate, feed dog and cylinder cover plate for the pfaff 335, Seiko LSC and the consew 277 are interchangeable? Thanks. Marjan
  23. Of all the things to break on my Pfaff 335. The thread guide on the needle bar... Andrew
  24. I have a SewPro Mini 441 machine that I'm still trying to get up to speed on. I do a variety of work - passport covers, wallets, belts and straps, journal covers, medium and heavy bags. I'm also looking into getting a Pfaff 345 and and/or a flatbed walking foot machine or a Single 30-15 machine. The second or third machine would be for wallets, totes, various cases and linings/interiors. You can see my work here http://www.instagram.com/odinleather. I definitely welcome your feedback on choice of machines for these purposes. Would a that Pfaff 345 with some sort of flat top attachement work for wallets and totes or should I stick with a true flatbed like a 30-15. I like using 138 and 207 thread weights. Regarding pressor feet and plates... I don't quite understand yet the pros and cons that the different pressor feet and plate combinations for the 441 machine offer. My 441 machine came with a center-toe pressor foot that is closed (the thread passes through it). It seems some center-toes are open - is this a benefit? Outer pressor foot has a double toe (left and right side). Whats the benefit of changing these pressor feet? Does using a left or right toe offer benefits that I don't understand? Also... How does one choose the right plate for a project? What unique benefits does a holster plate, or stirrup plate offer that a regular plate does not. As always ALL your feedback is welcome and appreciated.
  25. Hi, I'm new in this forum. I recently bought a used pfaff 335 for a very low price, I tried it in the last few days and everything works fine. The only problem is the motor, it's a very old (looks 50's or 60's) clutch motor and it is extremely hard to control the speed (almost no steps between no stitching and the maximum speed). It's the first time I use an indutrial sewing machine and it goes quite fast, I can almost control it but it's sill too much. I am now looking for a servo motor, I live in switzerland and the simplest way to get one is to purchase it somewere else in europe (switzerland is terribly expensive). I found a website in UK that sells the Jack JK510A https://www.college-sewing.co.uk/JK-510A-220V-550W-ENERGY-SAVING-SERVO-MOTOR it looks fine but in the video attached to the web page it looks like the minimum speed is 500 rpm. Is it a low speed, on the video it looks fast? Can I control the speed by changing the pressure of my foot on the pedal or it is a fixed speed? In the pictures is my pfaff 335 and the motor Thanks, Nicola
