Hey guys. I’m trying again to make leather pouches and bags and am confused on how to sew them without the stitches showing. I sew then flip it inside out right? Is there an easy way to explain it to me or do you have pictures on it? (I could just look on YouTube but I don’t understand the videos sometimes.). I want to make some pouches for some of my hardware since I don’t have a tool rack yet.

A good electrician friend of mine helped me get my workshop wired and powerd up. So i wanted to give him a custom leather piece for helping me. I usually do gun leather, belts and bags so the tool pouch was a fun different project. I do alot of stamping but have only done a few carving pieces. The reddy kilowatt character on the small front pocket on this pouch is by far the hardest carving ive done to date. I hope the leather family here enjoys.

Hi all, Not a repost I promise. I made one of these for myself a couple of weeks ago and had some spare time, so made a small batch as stock pieces with a few design changes. I was not particularly happy with the stitching first time round so went for a much tighter stitch on these, which goes around the bottom corners much better and is generally more appropriate for a smaller case anyway I think. The overall proportions have also been very slightly tweaked. These are all wet formed directly around the knife, and hand tooled/stitched etc. Colours are fiebings pro, black, mahogany and dark brown, with natural veg tan liners. I hope you like them Cheers Alex

Hi! So im very new to both leatherwork and this forum. I'm having a bit of trouble with finishing a project. This is my first real thing I've made, so any tweaks I could do or hints would be very much appreciated. I need to finish the sides of it but don't know how I would do it. I've used 3.6mm thick leather for the whole thing and it will be used to strap onto a belt for work. I have got a 2mm leather that I want to use. Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi folks, This is my first time to upload a video. Recently, I got into baseball stitches. But it is sometimes hard to have each edges held tightly together. I think X-stitch would be better, or maybe my skill is just not good enough. X-P Making video I love recording my leather works. Thank you for watching!

Hi all, Here's a look at my first leather project in about 10 years, thought I'd share. I'm calling this a prototype due to it being pretty rough around the edges.

Got a nice set of Cuda brand pliers, diagonal cutters, and braid cutter as a gift from my wife for fishing. Decided to make a nice sheath for the set, and I got way too into the project. First time with this type of project, had a great time and didn't encounter many obstacles during the build. I prefer a belt clip to the more traditional loop style. I also used a tri-weave stamp along with a few other basic stamps to decorate. All stainless hardware. Let me know what you think. Thanks

A lifelong friend is getting married, and another friend bought him a kit muzzleloader pistol as a wedding gift and asked me to put it together. I decided to make him a possibles pouch to go along with the pistol. Is is made from cognac colored heavy garment leather, lined with canvas, and trimmed in deer skin. The Strap is 5/6 ounce vegtan with a wool felt liner. I put two rows of stitching on it "just because". My friend is into bushcraft and stuff, and likes to make his own waxes. I figured I would let him duck the canvas.

I am looking for a talented leather craftsperson to transform it into useable items, such as vests, pouches, gloves, possibles bags, etc. I love to hunt and would love to put this hide to beneficial use. I am open to ideas! If interested, please post your email address contact info. Thanks! Dave Portland, OR

Hello again, here is another of the projects I did for myself over the holiday break. I've been wanting to create an alternative for carrying some of my everyday items like phone, wallet, keys, earbuds, etc. that replaces the full pack I usually carry. I've tried this out and about a couple of times now and I am pleased with it. Let me know what you think. :-)

As I needed a little bag to match the hat I made some time ago, I made this girdle purse. Actually it isn´t practical at all, but all I need (well.... let´s say one of the main priorities) is that it looks and feels as "realistic" (in the quality point of view) as possible. So this one is about 20cm x 20cm and is quite limited in the capacity, but I like it anyway XD The front is made of sturgeon again the rest is mainly goat and some calf skin (I guess, but I am not sure). The yellow inlay is made of wool. I hope you like it

Just finished this... Its a hair stylists pouch, with 5 interior pouches for 3 scissors, a straight razor, and a comb. The name plate doubles as a barrette holder. There is a belt loop, and an attached belt for two styles of wear. The front carving is a representation of her tattoos. Thanks for looking.
