Members mike6642 Posted November 9, 2018 Members Report Posted November 9, 2018 That is a very nice belt, I made a hundred belts , but that belt you made is special in my opinion. Quote
Members rustyj58 Posted November 11, 2018 Members Report Posted November 11, 2018 Looks awesome! DG is the BOMB!!!! I love his videos and instruction. What did you line the belt with? I either miss or skip over the liner part in his videos. I have the same patterns and I plan on actually making one for MYSELF for a change! Again, Really nice work. Rusty Quote

On 11/7/2018 at 9:04 PM, bdpeters said: oh I forgot to ask what you used to color the flower centers? very vivid. I have seen some of Don's patterns and they seem to lend themselves well to vivid colors and the dark background. Thanks, @bdpeters! I just used orange cova color from Tandy's for the flower center. Yeah, I agree, Don's patterns are great for lots of contrast. On 11/7/2018 at 10:22 PM, BlakesBlades said: Nice job, it looks fantastic! Thanks, @BlakesBlades! I love his videos and instruction, too! He makes it look easy! lol! I just lined it with 3-4 0z vegtan. You should totally make one for yourself! I've made 3 different belts for myself and I'm always switching around and wearing a different one to work everyday. Be sure and post pics when you get it done! Quote

Members BrotherRon Posted November 18, 2018 Members Report Posted November 18, 2018 Absolutely awesome. Is this belt hand stitched? Quote
alpha2 Posted November 18, 2018 Report Posted November 18, 2018 (edited) Fantastic! When I grow up, I want to be Don Gonzales. I'm 65, to it MIGHT be too late, but I'm workin' on it! I loved the orange centers, too. Totally ups the the belt, for sure. Jeff Hey! The white will wear to a nice buff color, but a buff color would wear to a brown! You nailed it! Edited November 18, 2018 by alpha2 Quote So much leather...so little time.
Members dfrensdorff Posted December 9, 2018 Members Report Posted December 9, 2018 Nice nice nice! Did you freehand the initials? Quote
Members rodneywt1180b Posted December 9, 2018 Members Report Posted December 9, 2018 I like the white. Given the size of that buckle there's no such thing as "Too much". Great looking belt! Quote
Members Stompk Posted December 14, 2018 Members Report Posted December 14, 2018 that's gorgeous !! where did you get the buckle and keeper ? Quote
