Can you show us a picture of the pieces. There are several ways to make a butt cover. To tell you how to sew it we would need to see how you intend it to go together. Did you mold the piece that covers the but plate to form a cup? If so do you want the piece that wraps the stock to be on the inside of the cup or the out side of the cup. Or is the piece that covers the butt plate flat (no cup)? If so it would be box stitched or stitched similar to a toe plug in a holster. Are you going to be hand stitching ? Picture one is cup outside, picture two is cup inside. You might get even more input under Gun holster, Rifle sling, knife sheath forum.

Here is another style of trapper hat. it basically made with for arched triangles. You can add on ear flaps and even a fold up bill. They can be made of all fur or suede and fur. some of the originals were lined with material, with the fur sew on to the material. http://explore-build-do.blogspot.com/2012/10/sewing-beaver-fox-and-lynx-alaskan.html

Pattern for a 20inch double barrel Shotgun
camano ridge replied to CameronC's topic in Patterns and Templates
Jim, some clubs and ranges have their own rules This is was SASS rules say. Shooters shall adhere to the following safety rules: 1. Treat and respect every firearm at all times as if it were loaded. 2. Muzzle direction is important between, before, during, and after shooting a stage. A muzzle must not be allowed to “sweep” the other participants at any time. Long guns shall have their actions open with chambers and magazines empty and muzzles pointed in a safe direction when transported at a match. A holstered revolver (loaded or empty) with the hammer fully down on an empty chamber or expended case is considered safe and may not be interpreted as sweeping another shooter while safely secured in the holster. Failure to manage safe muzzle direction is grounds for disqualification from the stage, and for repeated offenses, from the match. Not evry one has a cart and SASS handbook does not specifically address carrying on a cart. So it may be his clubs rules. -
I am sure you will have no trouble selling at least some of the stuff here if you spread it out a bit and get some clearer pictures. I will be looking forward to seeing what you have.

camano ridge replied to CameronC's topic in Patterns and Templates
Eightbits site has been down for a long time. The owner of that site is a member of these forums Roys29 and has several of his patterns posted under patterns and templates. He also has another site I will see if I can find it. He is usually more then willing to share his patterns. Here is one of the threads with several patterns. http://leatherworker.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=55039&hl=%2Beight+%2Bbits scroll down to post #5 for the correct link. First link was incorrect. Here is the thread for the Eightbits scabbard pattern http://leatherworker.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=46730&hl=eightbits If you do a search for eightbits under Patterns and Templates you will find a Doc Holiday pattern, gun belt pattern etc. Here is Roys current site, there are a few patterns and some other things that may be of interest to gun enthusiasts. http://www.ktgunsmith.com/misc.asp -

Browning Buckmark
camano ridge replied to JLSleather's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
If you are interested in the style below, I have the pattern. The one pictured is for a Ruger Mark 2 slab sided barrel. The specs are close enough that for that style holster should work. -

Which Buck Mark is it. I will check I think there is a pattern in one of the older Leather Crafters and Saddlers Journal that would work. http://www.amazon.com/Umarex-2252270-Brwning-Buck-Mark/dp/B007K7IG1G -

camano ridge replied to bullmanjay's topic in Floral and Sheridan Carving
If this one will work for you PM me with your email and i will email full size to you. I don't think this will print full size for you from here but you can give it a try. -
There is a for sale section that you can post in, also it is not uncommon for posters to post something they made then let people know that they have them for sale. You can always tel people to PM you for more information if you do not want to post the price and details.

Just finished a shoulder rig for a Sig 2022 .357. Did a double mag holder with a tension screw, seems to work pretty well. I did the straps a little different. I wanted flat soft and flexible but low stretch. I had some fairly supple 3oz so I double layered the strap pieces. I wore it around for about 3 hours yesterday before delivering it to the customer felt pretty good.

Colt Hamerless beat me to it. I have an SR9c and have used it to make holsters for SR40c there is just the slightest bit of difference on the slide width so initiallly the SR40c will be just a little snug but will break in just fine.

Flesh Side Of Tandy Royal Meadow Sides - Is It Smooth?
camano ridge replied to franktoau's topic in Leatherwork Conversation
Most of the Royal Meadow that I have seen and used has a fairly good flesh side. However I have seen some that were a little fuzzier then others. If you can get to a Tandy your best bet is to hand pick what you want. If you can't get to a store try calling the store and asking them to pick out the best one with the smoothest flesh side. Royal Meadow is their premium brand and most of the time is pretty decent. -
Those look very well made.
