Hippo is $45 sq ft.
Beaverslayer replied to Kevin King's topic in Exotics, Reptiles, Furs and others
I had the same response when I wanted to purchase some Python...$39.00 a meter (that's 39" long) and you had to buy the hole thing. Well, I thought that was crazy, all I needed was a few pieces about 4" by 1" no where near 3 1/2 meters. In the end, once I made a hat with the python inlays, all hell broke loose, and I sold a lot of things with python inserts. Now I can't get enough of it. Once you let someone know of the exoticness of something, it seems to really grab their attention. And like Art say's, there's no way I'm going Python hunting. Ken -
wallet
Beaverslayer replied to JustWakinUp's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items
Yes I like it TOO...but the inside has me VERY curious as well....please Ken -
Dave, the lacing, carving, and coloring are GREAT. I especially like the front lace with grommets. I'm wondering though, did the idea come from your subliminal mind...it kinda makes it look like a BOOT....to KICK at the Boss... Ken

Beaverslayer replied to Regis's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items
Good looking work Regis, I LOVE that Maple Leaf on the wallets.... The greenish hew is from the cutting board you have underneath the holster when you took the picture. Ken -

my carving has a sloppy appearance around the bevelled edges
Beaverslayer replied to JohnD's topic in Stamping
Hey John, when I do my skulls, I will not use the knife on most of the detail, like the teeth and above the eyes. I will only make cuts around the main skull amd the jaw bones. The rest I just use a beveler, and by hitting it with hard or soft blows will make it look more realistic. Ken -

Welcome to the forum Timbo. As the others have mentioned, we are probably all going to call you DADDY...LOL...anyways, great looking chaps, very well done and nice contrasting colors. As to the donuts from ClayB, personally you might want to shy away from them, he tends to lick the icing off the tops first....lately though, he has been good about staying away from the cookies. Ken

Yes I saw that one a month back, now that was a dirty job. Ken
