  2. For the leather cover / folded stand, could use kidex for a stiffener. Would keep the weight and bulk down. The magnet doesn't do anything with the capacitive screen. Different technologies. It activates a tiny magnetic reed switch near the edge of the tablet. You can test for the location of the switch by using a small magnet. Tom
  3. Really, really nice. What lady wouldn't love to wear it? Tom
  4. Interesting stuff. See http://www.spiderwire.com/about_history.php Tom
  5. Is the machine threaded correctly? If you missed any spots on the top thread path, it will mess up the top tension. Review it closely. Make sure the thread is between the tension disks. Increase top tension to bring the knot higher (towards the top). Move in small steps, like 1/4 turn each trial. Tom
  6. Here are a couple links. You can search for more as well. Look for mold, clean, remove, and similar groups of words. http://leatherworker.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=14384&hl=%2Bclean+%2Bremove+%2Bmold+%2Bsaddle http://leatherworker.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=23063&hl=+remove%20+mold%20+saddle#entry147512 Tom
  7. If one computer can't find random web pages, yet others can, the computer may have a virus that points to a fake DNS server. Many antivirus programs will not find the virus if it is a "root kit" virus. Scan with tdsskiller http://support.kaspersky.com/5350 My computer had a problem a few weeks ago where it couldn't reach anything related to google. Most frustrating when you can't use google to find something! Several AVs found nothing. But tdsskiller found and fixed it. Tom
  8. And no slots or holes over the leg hardware! Tom
  9. Welcome. Hope you find a way around it. Computers are really frustrating some days. Tom
  10. I'm jealous. Really nice work. Tom
  11. Is this a problem on multiple computers, or only one? If this is happening on multiple computers, using the same cable, then try another cable. Does it still work on other computers running other versions of windows? If it still works on other versions, with the same cable, then cable and camera are still good. Prove each piece of hardware works before trying any software fixes where they don't seem to be helping. Tom
  12. Here are a few links that might help. The third one is your specific model and MS windows 7 forum http://www.sevenforums.com/hardware-devices/184798-olympus-camera-photo-import-problem-windows-7-a.html Compatibility X-760 is compatible http://www.olympus.co.jp/en/support/imsg/digicamera/compati/win7.cfm http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-pictures/windows-7-does-not-recognise-olympus-x760-digital/5eb087dd-b3fa-4d40-b839-161b18d30515 Tom

  14. Either a knee operated or foot operated presser foot lift is fine. For me, I have a bit of a knee problem. Hurts to twist to the side to operate the lift, so for me, the foot operated lift is much better. Tom
  15. Or an old credit card or such. I don't like taking the tip off a knife running it over metal. Tom
  16. The image on the right is a digitally controlled servo. The other 2 aren't. The left 2 have a potentiometer to adjust the top speed, analog control. Digital may have additional functions like ramp rate, reverse, ... Digital should have better torque at minimum speed. Depends on model and manufacturer. Horse power or Watts is more important. Tom
  17. Cute, let's see you wear that through security on your next plane trip! Tom
  18. Yes, all things the same ... Identical setup each time so all your processing can be consistently the same. Tom
  19. Laser engraving is definitely more flexible and faster. Have so many fonts and graphics available to use without having to have custom plates made or spend time setting up type. I guess I should find someone around here that can do it. Tom
  20. If you take all your pictures under the same lighting conditions and do all your editing with the same color and contrast/brightness settings, you should be able to add photos later and have them all look the same. Try to do the same with camera position, zoom, aperture, speed and any resizing in PS. Then sizes should also be relative to each other. Tom
