    i'll try....It's called a "Blood Knot" 2 pcs of leather comes to the front. the pc on top carefully cut a slit the width of the strip bring the bottom pc up thru the slit & pull tight. the pc of leather on the top now cut another slit in it like you did on the first pc. then pull it tight... practice you'll get it ( ps do a search on the fourm for Blood Knot)

    i have had a simillar problem , and to fix it on one machine i polished both of the tennsion discs and on the other machine i bought new discs. that solved it for me. it could be some rust in there or groves that could have been worn in the metal. hope this helps for you..
