Using a Tippmann Boss Stitcher

capgun kid. after you get it lubed.........tension set right and began to start sewing .............ARE YOU HOLDING BOTH THREADS TO LOCK A FEW STICHES IN PLACE ??TRY IT. PS ... I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH LATIGO LEATHER OR THICK ELK WHEN I AM STICHING VEG TAN LEATHER I USE A THREAD LUCICRANT. AND "I WILL DAMPEN THE LEATHER WHERE I AM STICHING".hang in there and keep tippimans ph number handy ,they will go out of their way to help you. -
What machine to you use to sew leather?

The machines i have and use on a week to week basic. Heavy duth sewing ......Sew-Mo 205-370....a copy of an Adler machine. Lite Weight to medium sewing .....Singer 31-15. Medium Weight..... Consew Free Arm 227. Medium weight .....Consew flat bed 225. Adler Patch Machine ....30-5. Tippimann Boss Hand machine. and some older Singer Heavy duty Home sewing machines and a Paff Machine with a biult in ziz zag. -

Nice looking rifle scabbard...the only change i would have made is with the way the strap on the flap closier is attached on the inside. the Rivetts and Stock dont look too compatible.. -

WELCOME BKELLER.....Hope you enyoy your self here. ThiS is what i did to get me started in LEATHER WORK. Decide on what items that you want to make .....then take a visit to the Tandy store and buy the tools that you need to make those items. You will see that with a few tools you will be able to make a lot of different things. good luck

K T K..........YOU NEED TO SPEND SOME TIME AT YOUR LOCAL TANDY AND SEE FIRST HAND THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF LEATHER. SOMEONE THERE WILL EXPLAIN THE USES OF IT.

Nice Bag a lucky find....The name for a bag like that is called a"PORTMANTO" (sp) small travelling bag for a gentleman. an 18th century style bag. -
............HATE TO SAY THIS "I'M FROM THE OLD SCHOOL". I HAVE NOT USED THE ECO FLO. BUT THE PRODUCT IS BEING USED BY A LOT OF LEATHER CRAFTS PEOPLE WITH GOOD RESULTS.
